  • Stealth mode now enabled The car is certainly more lively being back on 16's again, you can really feel the difference I think losing that weight over the 17's. Wheels look quite dull in this photo

  • Been a big fan of Simon's car (and driving) for a while. Car looks good in action, I made this up in HD: Hope you don't mind me putting this up Simon.

  • Cheers Trevor, will be good to meet you too. Like the look of your Octy project too, the wheels suit it well! I'm definitely going to do a couple of sessions at Combe, I can't wait now

Love it!

Wheel finish looks great, like the shade too. Top job.

You might have answered this in a previous post, but how low had you gone suspension wise when those pics were taken?

Looks great though mate! Inspiration for me!

Crikey, didn't see your post. The suspension is still set at the same height on the 16's as when it was pictured on the 17's. The rears are all the way down with adjusters in, and the front is set lower than the rear. The car handles better with a slight positive rake when stationary, as the rear sits down once on the move.

In the garage under a sheet until the Spring! Though the weather we get all year I might as well just put them back on....

That looks like fun! And sounds like it :D

Hahaha! Was that you laughing Richard?! No problem uploading it, it's quite cool to see your own car in action! Thanks.

Unfortunately my rather expressive passenger wont be at Combe this time round waving his arms about :D

I'd like to think I use the car as its intended...

We both got a bit over excited when we started overtaking vRS(s) in the Yeti, baring in mind it was two months old.

I blanked most of it out because it was for your thread and I didn't want to drag it off topic.

Had a little visit to JKM last weekend to see what she was putting out, bang on the figures I was expecting, and not bad considering they are renowned as the heart breaker rollers!

Car is running a torque limited map at the moment, which will obviously limit power too, but getting an unrestricted map for track use etc soon.

190bhp / 304lbft

Nice result :)

Still good figures si, :)

You expecting a slight improvement in bhp with the second map too Simon? Or just a rise in the torque limiter?

I miss the spiders! :(

Yep, should see the magic 200bhp, other cars on Shark's rollers have seen between 200-205 on this turbo. Goes well enough at the moment on the open road, so looking forward to that :D

I miss the spiders! :(

I never had spiders?!

Nice man, should finally be getting my 150 mapped in just before Combe :)

Excellent, I have a little list of things to do before Combe as well, really looking forward to it - as usual!

The standard 16inch spiders lol

I recently purchased Joe's blue 17" spiders, and he kindly threw in some Parada's that had minimal tread left, but thought I could get a trackday out of them, so that I did! Needless to say there is absolutely no tread left now, and I actually managed to blister them with the rubber just peeling off! Never had that happen before, but then Llandow does have a very aggressive surface!

Anyway a couple of pics and videos, with some gorgeous Escorts, stupidly fast mini's and my mates IHI'd Ibiza.

Nice driving. :)

See you've moved from cabin-cam to bumper-cam.

Wheels certainly make a statement.

Love the wheels :)
