Suspension strut bolts and rubber bits

Featured Replies

Hey guys, looking for the 3 bolts and nuts that secure the strut to the top (in the engine compartment) the self locking ones... not sure how to search them on ebay.

The rubber on my drop links is torn, do I need new rubber or new drop links?

I am planning to change the front coil springs (finally) on my 2001 fabia so anyone got names of the screws and nuts that need to be replaced?

Thanks!

Nothing really 'needs' to be changed when doing the suspension - just by a new drop link as they are pretty cheap from GSF/Euro.

If you do really want some new bolts/nuts etc - just speak to your local dealer, stuff like that is not usually expensive.

New drop links only....as for the nuts and bolts, I relaced them all......the three for the top of the damper to the engine bay side of the wheel arch ar infact the top swivel mount bolts....replace these and the swivel mount as the swivel mount is secured to the damper (compressing the spring) using one nut (damper top nut). Parts dept at dealer should be first place for nuts and bolts.

Do you have spring compressors and the cam tool for the slot in the back of the hub carrier to release the bottom of the damper???

For a list of nuts and bolts inc their torque setting see my post:

I do have a pair of spring compressors, as for the tool... will have to check, thanks for reminding me!

As for the nuts, I guess I have to go to a skoda dealer for them. Sure you can't get any online?
