Well,

Goatboy's been trying to sell my Old 05 Plate Octavia VRS Estate for some time now and had no takers.

Can't believe it hadn't already gone, had chatted to him since I sold it to him 18 month's ago and knew he had taken good care of it.

Anyway just happened to mention it to a friend of mine earlier in the week who had been in it when I had it and she jumped at the chance. So Thursday night drove down to Hemel Hempstead, had a good look round it, checked ECU for codes.. etc. etc. etc. and it was all still A1.

Anyway she parted with the required amount of hard earned and a deal was struck.

Now she's insured on my Fabia VRS but hadn't sorted insurance out for the Octavia so I drove the Octavia back to Essex. Gotta say it drove superbly, just as I remembered it. Thankfully she's not a girl racer so the Fabia had a fairly leisurly drive home.

Obviously having test driven it in Normal Map mode and Revo map mode I decided it would be rude to take the map off for the journey home!!

Anyway it's now back to std. map where I think it will probably remain for probably the duration of her ownership.

What get's me is he had it for sale for nearly a month and no one snapped it up, despite me saying what a good car it had been.. Very Strange, maybe it's just no one wants the Estate version but people def. missed out here.

Still Bex is very happy with her new purchase, not sure she'll be on here as not a great lover of computers but you never know.

Strange always thought estates were more popular. When. I was looking for a vrs estates cost quite abit more than hatch's and there wasn't as many about

Estates all the way.... so practical

If I had the choice again I'd have bout an estate altought there is only 1 I know of in Ireland

Yep I always thought Estates were in quite high demand.

Still know Dan let me have a bit extra off so was an absolute bargain.

She still hasn't driven it herself yet as insurance not been sorted so it's still sat on my drive with a spare set of keys on my side....

Hmmm wonder if she'd know if I took it for another spin!!!

Where abouts in Essex are you? I dont't seem to see many mk1 vRS's around! lol

I've never been to any of the Meets in Essex, proabley getting a bit old for all that!!! :'(

should make an effort just to see what other have done and the difference things make.

I live in Rayleigh but spend a lot of time in Southend as thats where the GF lives! lol

I have never been to any meets either, I didn't think there were any round our way?
