new clutch now problems with my pedal

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a skoda fabia 3 cilinder 05 model, its a great car but my clutch went last week which has been replaced only now i have no pedal!! we tried bleeding it and there are no air locks and replaced fluid but it just not doing anything. and we tried to put it into gear and will only go into 3rd and 5th!!

can anyone help ASAP its driving us mad and dont Know what the problem is??????

cheers sarah

does it have a hydraulic clutch? which gets it fluid supply from the brake fluid circuit. i work for peugeot and they have this set up on them and a pretty common fault on them is the clutch master cylinder fails on them and does not allow the pressure to press the clutch. there are 2 cylinders on the peugeot system,1 that is attached to the clutch pedal and goes through the bulkhead onto a plastic or metal pipe depending on the set up,the other cylinder usually goes onto the clutch fork at the gear box.it could also have a leak on part of the circuit that is assuming your car has a hydraulic clutch, hope this is of some use to you!!

Does it select all gears with the engine off?

There is no need to disconnect the hydraulics when doing the clutch so little confused whats going on.
