boot panel trim

Featured Replies

Had to take the plastic trim off the boot today due to the fact that the water pipe had come off the washer jet.... now do you think I can get this bugger clippped back on...

I believe it has to be slotted on window part first then clipped to the remainder... for the life of me cant get this bugger to stay in place though...

Sounds silly but any tips in getting this back on ??? or anyone near cardiff done this before that maybe able to assist ??

I can't help on a hatch, but I know you are not alone on this..... the estate is a PITA too.

Pull the maetal clips off the trim and put them on the boot lid first. That will make it easier for them to locate properly.

And don't forget to pull the boot strap through first, otherwise you'll have to take it all off again.

Realise this is a VERY old post, but wanted to say thanks anyway......having listened to this patricular piece of trim fall in to my boot four times in the last week I've been tearing whats left of my bloody hair out trying to refit it 'properly' !

Finally its now seated correctly (fingers crossed). One tip to anyone doing this single handed: once you have fed the nylon boot handle/strap through the slot, hook an umbrella handle (or similar) through it. This tops the sodding thing dissapearing back through the slot AND supports the RHS of the trim a bit whilst you are offering it up to the boot.
