Diamondbright or Swissol?

Featured Replies

Ive done a bit of reading up about both products but would like some recommendations. I like the fact that you only apply the diamondbright only once but i know the car has to be spotless before i do it (scared i might leave one little spot then seal it in!), but i also like the fact that with zwissol wax your keep building up a layer of protection. Any advice would much appreciated. Thanks.

Errr Supaguard ;)

Does Supraguard work in the same way as Diamondbright?

Yes mucht he same product just made by different people, both very good IMHO but not worth the dealer prices, can be done alot cheaper, even done for you if you know the right people ;)

Should really be in the Car Care section...

But anyhow, I had my car professionally valeted inside and out, and was well impressed!

Just dont pay a dealer to do it

Cheers for the advice, didnt know the was a car care section but do now

Look at it this way...

Diamondbright/Supaguard will provide paint protection, but as you wash and dry as well as normal use will leave swirl makrs on the pain.

Swissol on the other hand, if used correctly and twice a year with the cleaner wax, will help to reduce the swirl marks.

My car was paint treated before delivery by the dealer. I then tried Swissol after much doubting it, but with swirl marks evident and building. The swirl marks are now greatly reduced and almost non- existent.

Do I need to tell you more?

With the Diamondbrite after care kit you get a conserver which builds up a protective layer, much like a good quality wax would. It recommends to use it once a month, but I'm using it once a fortnight in the winter months.

To stop swirl marks when washing, I always rinse the wash pad reguarly & use a separate bucket of water, rather than rinsing in the bucket of the shampoo.

I have always hosed the car off, shampooed the car using a wool mit, fresh bucket of shampoo per side, working top down, then hosed off and chamoised dry. I have still got swirl marks and thats being careful. Only Swissol helped make them disappear, and being honest as well the car washes and dries much better now as well.

So what your saying is to Diamondbrite/Supaguard first the use Swissol wax as a regular wax?

Yes, that's what I'd go along with. In fact I'll being doing it in a few weeks, except I'll be Diamondbriting then using Meguiars Gold Class Wax.

Which package did you get, and for how much and from who? I get a bit confused with the different packages on offer at such a range of prices.
