Who has had theirs the quickest?

Featured Replies

From the time of order to collection, who has taken delivery of their Yeti the quickest! This is for factory orders from scratch so no cheating, ie pre-registered etc.

Ok, you've thorn down the gauntlet, so here is my reply. emoticon-0110-tongueout.gif

Ordered ours 26th May '10 and drove the Yeti away 01st Sept 2010. emoticon-0105-wink.gif

3 months 4 days

I'm sure someone can beat that, so I'm playing my trump card, we had the sunroof as an option right in the middle of the NO sunroof fiasco. emoticon-0102-bigsmile.gif

Never ordered due to wait 6 month+, ended up with a 3 month old demonstrator 3k on clock to beat the queue. Surely that is the quickest way?

It is but doesn't count as it was pre-registered, sorry. emoticon-0100-smile.gif

When I got my 1.4 Elegance last year, it was about 2 months total. Ordered mid September and took delivery mid November as far as I can remember.

You're in the lead so far then emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

Ordered 22 Sept 09 arrived in UK 30 October 09 collected 6 November 09 (sold to Allams 13 months and 13,000 miles later just before all that snow  Just over 6 weeks.

Naturally less then 3 months is exceptional particulary for a diesel! From what I can see (in the short time I have been here) long waits are the norm and these seem unlikey to change in the near future, if ever!

my 59 reg 1.2tsi 3 months and a few days from memory snowed in at emdem 1 week and the dealers 3 days

my 11 reg 110 4x4 4 months 3 weeks 5 days

Ordered: 2nd of April 2010. Arrived on the 14th of June. 10 and a half weeks, not bad for a factory order!

But, due to 'burocracy/paperwork/administrative/lack of interest/"my pride is the most valuable thing in the world"/etc, etc' matters, I couldn't drive it until the 19th of August!! :S

A joy there from :D

Cheers!

Asian delivery! (Does it make a difference?)

Ordered on the 25th October took delivery 10th January so that is 77 days or 2 months and 16 days for a factory order.

So mine, ordered in Jan 2011, due Jan 2012 won't be the winner then?

Ordered on the 10th May 2010, drove away on the 9th July 2010, 61 days (big spec, 140 4x4)

I should have made this who has waited the longest, to ensure balence or perhaps no! :D

Not factory order but not pre-reg either, actually phoned all the dealers around my area and one had one in stock, brand new, unreg. Obviously no choice of colour, but it was between white and aqua back then anyway (no Tangerine, otherwise that would be the choice, no question!) and I decided to get an S from the outset, so suited me perfectly.

11 days to prep, that was in April last year though.

Ordered late September 2009, arrived early November 09. There was a 170 Elegance demonstrator in the showroom at the time

+1.

However, as I have a milestone birthday in September 2012, I plan to change my current Yeti. Should I order now :giggle:

Perhaps I could be permitted to ask another question. What is the quickest way to get a new Yeti? Put another way, which is the least popular and therefore quicker from order to delivery?

Would say a bog standard 1.4 or 1.8TSI possible Elegance Spec.

I cannot remember exactly, but mine was ordered mid March 2010 and I took delivery in mid July.

I do remember that I thought the 4 months was a bloody long time though!

I have my car on a 3 year contract and usually order the replacement 3 months before the end.

I wonder if they'll let me order my new yeti 12 months before just to be sure?

If not, at least I can keep Harry until his little brother arrives.

Mine was from stock at Allams......7 days from try to buy and.collect :-)

Ordered 17/2/10 collected 22/5/10 140Tdi 4x4 with mats, mudflaps , off road button, and transfer of personal reg. Was I ahead of the game ??

Got my 110PS S 4x4 on Friday 27th November 2009(ordered in September 09).
