I HATe KiDs On BiKeS

Featured Replies

I really hate kids on bikes, last couple of weeks kids in the village here about 7-10 on blinkin mountain bikes, going around and around cars just playing, he'll of a dink on the rear wheel arch, luckily I had the AK47 in the repair shop, nothing b!@@di safe IHATE KIDS !!!!

Perhaps a call to 101 reporting antisocial behaviour would be a good place to start.

I have the same problems with kids in my street either playing with their football, tennis ball or biking up the street inches from the car!

I once rode into a parked Volvo 240 as a kid. No obvious damage done in the eyes of an eight year old.

Now as a car owner I still feel guilt about it so if my car gets hkt I figure its karma.

They are good kids but they like riding bikes at the mouth of the junction, just round & round no malice intended but damage done, no hands went up to say " me sir I did it", just get the beaters to get it out :(

To be honest I can understand your frustration but in the same time I can't help but sympathize about the kids too.

You see we were in their shoes once. We used to run around like crazy, playing football and running on bikes. In a packed city with no good playgrounds around the best we could do was to make our neighborhood our playground. In the process yes we would hit a car with our football, the alarm would go off and run like the wind so we wouldn't be told off by the owner. At that age it is in our nature to be to no good sometimes. I find it healthy and expected but as with everything there is a fine line between being naughty and being disrespectful.

Things are getting more and more sterilized and childhood is not that natural and free as it used to be. For the most part the latest generation doesn't even play outside but just burns its eyes in front of an X-BOX or Playstation (nothing against games - I'm a big fan) but there should be some balance.

Agreed - we were all kids once, some of us are still kids at heart!!

With everything that is going on the world, it isn't as safe as it used to be in, say, my day - we used to go out at 10 in the morning and not come back til teatime, playing in the fields, friends gardens etc etc.

Nowadays parents want to be sure their kids are safe which results in them not straying far from the home.

Kids do it round our way but I try to be a bit patient with them, aslong as nothing gets damaged or the play gets out of hand it's all good.

Two things are needed here to bring about an end to this problem:

1..The ending of the Skool holidays

2..An almightly and prolonged downpour of rain

Job Done

is your car parked on the street or on a driveway. if its on the street, you cant really moan.. kids do kind of have the right to have a laugh and play, what do you lot want, for them all to stay indoors and play video games, getting fat!

I have a massive drive but park this one on the road hassle moving the othercars

I am still yet to be sold on the idea of kids. Massively expensive, no resale factor, time-consuming and very noisy.

How can you moan then?

I can get four cars on the drive and one in the garage so I never leave one on the street.

Minor hassle to move one sometimes, but preferable to damage or a careless driver taking a mirror off.
