Friggerpants are you running standard injectors? Would this kit be useless without uprated ones?

I'd be after 230-240 bhp with the GT2056VK just to know that it's not being pushing to limit and that I'd get reliabilty from it!

so jabba's figures re my car are false??? and its on standard injectors.

frigger?

I posted about a Santa Pod date on your build thread.

A well attended tuned diesel Fabia day would be quite interesting IMO.

Not a genital measuring day, a genuine chance to get variously built cars together and compare as fellow enthusiasts. :)

I would literally fly over to see this!! Lol

Yep standard injectors, nope not useless, but not used to full potential at all.

If you just want 230bhp, GTB2056 is probaly the best way to go, or even the GTB1756VK

Post the question along with a dyno graph, and the correction factor used on TDIclub, and see what the professionals have to say.

Aimed at Warwick hun, sorry!

How would you explain boss foxs car beating a focus rs down the quarter mile? If he can only be 230 on standard injectors? Focus rs 300bhp as you know.

Better start, better tyres, better driver, more commitment/ less mechanical sympathy?

Ah, ok, thanks. Won't be seeing you there then!

It's all the driving practice I get in my 75bhp Greenline II. ;)

Feel the power!

warwick... You'd make 280bhp+ on AmD's rollers, but like 240-250bhp on Darkside's. There's no point quoting BHP figures as everyone uses different rollers. It's stupid when you think about it...

My sentiment also these days...

You're welcome to join us at Santa Pod though. Be a good day if we get enough to come and people don't chicken out due to performance worries. Come on it'll be fun... :)

Please don't take offence Warwick Hunt, I was just planning my build

Had fast petrols all my life and as this is 1st turbo diesel ive had im a novice as far as tuning diesels go..but reading that thread on tdi club makes me laugh..everyone contradicting one another...some says 220hp max on standard nozzles..others say not so...some say wmi doesnt increase power...if thats so how does mine show power increase on the graph wen the wmi is on? (regardless of what the actual bhp truly is) Devons has similar set up to mine and his been dynoed at 270 ish so 50bhp seen to be getting added from dodgy dyno's? Hmmmm.

similarly, how would you explain t.spark doing a 13.5 with a 220bhp hybrid Ibiza, an open diff(?) and normal tyres?

warwick hunt, jas has bigger than big nozzles fitted

Traction is not such an issue at the Pod due to the rubber put down. So diff and tyres make a smaller difference than on the road.

It's about power, weight and driver launch more IMO.

It's stripped! And and the Ibiza is a hundred odd kg lighter to begin with.

How can WMI make ANY difference to a diesel engine?

WMI is used on petrol turbo engines to delay the onset of detonation and therefore allow more ignition advance or boost to be safely used.

Most petrolhead tuning lore is utterly irrelevant to diesel tuning.

WMI isn't going to do any harm but, as a wise man once said:

"Fools and their money are easily parted"

Just fit a set of 'greens' mate.

don't forget, Skoda's quoted kerb weights include fluids, fuel, a driver, a boot full of luggage and a roof box full of bricks :D

so why does my graph show 10bhp more when its on?

Surely the best was to make a comparison is same rollers on the same day. Santa pod is just going to show who can drive the best in a straight line.

Back to the kit, would the engine need to be dropped out to fit the turbo and manifold etc r is there enough room for it?

There should be enough room, don't thinks it's paticulaly tight tbh
