Anyone know of any places in Manchester who can do a mufflerectomy on my fabia Vrs?

Price must be good and not cost a fortune. ;)

Thanks.

Pop down the motorway and see Graham at DCMS, Burnley  his work is outstanding, especially his custom fabrication, and always a decent price. The members of the SXOC, amongst others, have been using him for years :) his details:

I had mine done last week in Leek I know its 30 - 40 miles away but for £80 you cant complain and his work is amazing.

I did mention you aswell so he knew what I was talking about

I want an oval tip. Do they all have twin holes inside like the stock Vrs exhaust?

6x4 size the one to go for?

6 x 4 you will need but no twin hole inside just oval

Just got back from Silver system in Leek.

Had a look at the tips he had in stock and went for a twin 3" in the end as it filled the bumper cut out perfectly.

Theres definitely more grunt to the car now and i swear throttle response is better, the stock back box also weighed a ton so did good in terms of weight saving too.

Overall good service from Silver Systems a very clean job, Chris is a sound guy and £80 well spent.

If you decide to go to him, make sure you call in advance so he can order your tip in, i never did (order the tip) and luckily he had one in that i liked.

I may well be making a call to Chris sometime in the next few months. I was going to go into my local exhaust place soon for a quote but £80 for a stainless pipe is really good value.

How does it sound in your oppinion is it overly loud or not?

looks really nice mate, his done a great job, might have to have a drive down on payday. What does the system sound like? Have you got the trade mark owl hoot???

sounds more gruntier on idle and sounds louder on full chatter

I don't have the owl sound though, i would of liked it but tbh i reckon it would of got annoying after the novelty wore of.

very happy with it!

Where abouts are you located in Manchester, as, if it's okay with yourself, I wouldn't mind hearing what it sounds like in person before I fully throw myself in to getting myself one?

Hi mate. That's no problem. About 5mins away from Manchester airport.

I'm free most days as I'm working nights for a couple if weeks.

Give me a shout via pm :)

Glad you like it dude, go on a road with a wall next to the drivers side give it heavy throttle to 2.5 - 3k then let off quicky youll get a nice howl.

Heres mine for anyone else going to chris at silver system

That sounds mint! Was it mapped when you had that done?

Yarp.

Is that standard bore? Also whats this i hear about more strain being put on the standard turbo by removing the back box? Something about the spooling and the kkk doesnt like it.

2.5" i had. I don't think removing the back box alone is going to make much difference.
