53" Fabia VRS Damaged

Featured Replies

CAR IS NOW SOLD :)

EDIT: The ecu has also been remapped by REVO running approx 170+bhp. This is under lifetime warranty and can be removed any time

Hi Guys.

Unfortunately, this Skoda Fabia vRS was involved in an accident but it is a bargain at £1,700 ovvno. It's classed as Cat C but is perfectly driveable. The car was very recently fitted with a brand new turbo which is still under warranty along with having just been serviced including fresh front brake discs and pads (Brembo). Car has covered approx 95k miles and has full service history.

It's been checked over by a professional garage in Tamworth who have approved it as mechanically sound and structurally sound. The rear bumper is in excellent condition and was taken off as the rear bumper clip strip which it slots onto was a little broken so to avoid risk of it falling off, it was taken off.

Any questions, please ask and I'll do my best to answer. I'm happy to make my money back, hence I'm selling at £1,700.

Alloys, interior, engine, turbo, brakes, clutch, gearbox etc are all sound and are worth very good money.

Front bumper and bonnet are fine and have no damage.

So are you breaking it? or looking to sell as an entire vehicle.

Is it wrong to think about putting a PD130 into the Roomster? :giggle:

There is money to be made in breaking the car but time is not on my hands which is why I would rather sell it as it is.

I am keeping the car in its current condition and not taking anything off.

It would be fair to say a PD130 in a Roomster would make it a Vroomster.

Not Tamworth Accident Centre was it?

Can't see why that is a CAT C?

damage to front A pilar which is classed as structual

hmmmmm ideal base for a Fabia race car?!

Anything is possible.

Strip out interior, sell this new turbo and go hybrid and your on your way.

If you have the time, facilities and knowledge this car is a very good project to either be fixed up for road/track or be stripped for parts.

Unfortunately I have neither :p

Unfortunately, your too far away. This would have been perfect for me :'(

I take it the cars been on it's side then?

Yeah. It was a wet day and the car slid into grassy hedges.

What I don't understand is that the car was not being driven hard at all. Must have been standing water which caused the vehicle to aquaplane and it was undriveable on water. The funny thing is 5 minutes earlier, a red escort had done the same thing and was parked in the ditches a little behind.

The car was absolutely fine until gravity decided to "very" slowly roll it to one side.

Luckily, the impact was cushioned by greenery so it could have been much worse.

Car has definitely been approved and passed free from structural and mechanical damage.

I have all the paperwork as proof.

£1,700 is a great price. Willing to let go for £1,500 if collected before the end of next week.

If not, could aswell wait to find the right buyer at the asking price.

Ignore the damage on the pillar, had it been serious structural damage, the screen would have shattered and the roof would be kinked. And the door shutlines would be all over the place. Quite and easy repair that tbh, pity ive got no money lol!

Makes a great christmas present? lol :p

Does the car itself have any MOT or Tax left?

  • Author

MOT disappears after the accident.5/6 months tax left

  • Author

The vehicle would have had m.o.t left for another 5 months if thats any interest to u

So how much is the damaged going to cost to repair you think? £1000??

Im interested in it, but dont want to go in head over heals

  • Author

Honestly speaking, less than that.the rear bumper is perfect and available.if u allow £700 to £800 for repair that should have the car back to perfect.plus if u can do any work yourself thats a bonus.ask around for opinions.im sure people will tell u its a good competitive price

Bit of a chancer there matey.

If you could source 2nd hand parts, (apart from the rear quarter) especially in Black Magic, I reckon you could have that back on the road for under a grand.

As our friend suggests though^^^, the Cat C status is the BIG drawback.

Worth probably £2500-£2750 minted up nicely p'raps?

Probably not far off I reckon. Doesn't need a rear bumper either.

Defo need 2nd hand doors, morror and wing though to make it a viable proposition.

Any airbags gone off btw?

Most excellent opportunity for someone who's not got loads of money, to get themselves into a vRS on the cheap, as long as they don't think they'll get full normal value when they come to sell it.

Sorry been busy. No airbags were deployed as there was no real sudden impact.

Like you have said, the rear bumper is perfectly fine.

Alot of the parts can be sourced fairly cheap on ebay or through scrappy's/breaker's. If you are to buy all the parts from Skoda then yes, it would cost you alot more than £1k but reflecting upon this thought honestly, would you even consider buying all parts from Skoda?

Cat C car would be value'd around £2.7k give or take a couple hundred quid but if you buy the car for £1,500 and fix it for £750 let's say, you can money to play with.

Car would require a V.I.C yes which is £40 odd?

You are welcome to come view the car.

700 to 800 I doubt it

New wing - £40

New rear quater - no point replacing it, a good body shop can repair that easily.

Front and rear door - £60 each complete

Rear bumper - not needed

Front door glass - not needed as will be with the door

Wing mirror - £35

Full side respray - £300

Mot and vic check - £80

Rear light - £40

Full liquid service

Plus bits and bobs is going to cost lots imo double your price easy

Hope that helps someone, £600-800 is about right for the repair tbh, obviously its important that people realise a cat c will be hard to sell on after woods. But its still a good car for the money and if you plan to keep it for a good while then it doesnt matter anyway:)
