Thanks for that Sol. I knew it would be a short of matter of time before someone shed some light on this one.

Has there been any damage to the rear axle? On one of the pics it looks to be slightly bent

Bloody 'ell, you've got good eyesight. :o

I can't see anything untoward tbh., the same as i can't see it being that difficult to sell on providing the asking price is adjusted accordingly.

Got to be worth somewhere between £2500-3000 properly repaired I reckon. Relatively unmolested too i notice.

Aoart from the rear 1/4 panel and 'A' pillar, THAT is a very easy diy repair, especially if you can get the panels in Black Magic.

I'd have it if I didn't already have one.

Thanks.

Yeah it drives like new. No clunks, knocks or funny noises. Just the sweet whistle of turbo and the sound of tyres planing along the road.

The car was also recently serviced, brakes are new and turbo is brand spanking new.

Interior is immaculately clean as a friend of mine owns a car wash around the corner and always helps himself to my keys and returns the car in pristine condition.

Thanks.

Are you an author by any chance? :giggle:

Must admit, it does look like a clean example from those piccies. Far too good to be broken up.

You say there was another car off the road at the same location? Diesel spillage p'raps?

Lol. Me? an author? Nooo...

Seems cars were flying all over the place that day. The chances of 2 cars going off at the same bend suggests there may been some external influence other than just the weather.

Could well have been some sort of residue leftover because the car reacted very differently to how it has done in the past on wet roads. Fabia's are great because you normally have a good feel for the car.

Seemed ultra slippery on the rears when taking the bend and the car didn't want to be corrected.

If only there weren't any hedges and it was just pure grass, the car would have been absolutely fine.
