Photo software

Featured Replies

Looking at software for photo editing etc, what would people recommend/suggest, Paint Shop Pro or Adobe Photoshop Elements?

I think the real pros use Photoshop, but I find PSP quite complicated enough, thanks :D

I use Corel Photo 10. Comes as part of an (expensive) suite of graphics tools, which would probably be worth it if you were planning to do vector graphics, etc. but might be a bit "overspec" if you just want to fiddle with photos.

This post probably doesn't help you much then... :D

Rob.

I've used Serif's PhotoPlus for some time and found that it does everything that I want it to do. It's not that expensive, either.

Another vote for PSP, although I haven't had much experience with the others.

Roxio photosuite, or ulead photoexpress, or arcsoft photoimpression... all three of those are built for the purpose of modifying digital photos from a camera.

Photoshop and PSP are geared more towards digital manipulation of images (cutting, blending, rendering etc etc.)

I would recommend Photoshop, but if you don't have

I've just got Photoshop CS (don't be daft you don't think I paid for it do you?) after using PSP for a long time.

I'm no expert with photshop yet but I think some PSP tools are better and some photoshop tools better.
