New graphics card.

Featured Replies

Right I've got a new graphics card hd ati radeon 6770 (sapphire) will I get the best screen quality out of the hdmi slot?

Yes, or DVI. Avoid VGA like the plague

HDMI should do sound aswell, there is barely any difference between HDMI and DVI

FRAPS

MSI Afterburner

Unigene Heaven

3D benchmark

Benchmarking would be the best, although it depends what your using it for?

Is it for graphics processing and films etc or for gaming or other stuff?

Some things depends on what other components you have aswell :)

I still use an fairly basic Acer 24" 1920x1080 monitor that just uses VGA. Picture is comparable to the 22" Samsung using DVI next to it.

But agreed.

Better off with DVI or HDMI.

I normally use FRAPS and just play a game for a bit then tweak the settings till it looks playable and not getting any major drops in fps's.

You should be pretty sorted with that card. TBH I think you should just crack on and play some games. It will cope with pretty much anything.

I'm still using my, now, ageing 8800 GTX's and still play some pretty new games... Time for upgrade soon.

What CPU, mobo and RAM you got btw?
