engine oil

Featured Replies

hi guys

put the wrong oil in my car after service, didnt notice till after :wonder: 5w 30 fully synthetic, will it do any harm?i do a service every 5k

Yes, you MUST change it dor the correct spec. non-pd oil simply doesn't have enough scuff resistant additives to cope with the cam loads. You will knock a cam out in a lot less than 5k.

Change it as soon as possible and leave it to drain for 1 hour and don't forget the filter.

What type of oil did you use ? 505.00 spec?
