Columbus / RNS510 Custom Bootlogo

Featured Replies

Dear all,

I have created on online tool which can create a CD-rom image with a customized boot logo.

Chekout this website: http://www.netdata.be/iso/

You can take a look in the gallery for already created images, and download them.

Instruction can be found on the site itself.

If you have questions, shoot ;-)

Looks very interesting!

Can this also be used on Bolero's?

+1 Bolero??

Hi, the tool does not work for the bolero

At this moment I do not have a bolero and firmware and therefore I'm unable to build a similar tool.

Maybe in the future...

Thanks for the reply and will look forward to any updates.

Interesting

Anything you require that would allow you to do the same for the Bolero? :)

2 questions:

1. Is there any chance of bricking the Columbus by doing this?

2. Can the original bootlogo be restored if so desired?

1. Not that I'm aware of right now, ONLY the bootlogo will be replaced, so no software will be changed.

2. You have 2 options, the original can also be found on my site, or secondly you can do a firmware upgrade which will also overwrite the bootlogo, I would go for option 1

Oppsss trying to upload my file but keep getting Error ! No file selected for uploading....

Hmmm this can mean 2 things:

It could mean you did not select a picture (Which I think is unlikely )

It could also mean the picture is to large.

Please send me the picture to [email protected]

I will have a look.

Done

Hi ,

Can you try again?

The image was to big, I have raised the upload limits.

Should work again.

Please try again, I was doing some updates and maybe it collapsed together.

Hi this works really well. Here#s a suggestion - could we upload a number of pictures, and have them displayed randomly? A different pic each time Columbus powers up?

email sent, thanks

Thanks, received it.

Sorry but you should start reading the instructions ;-)

The image you have send me is not 800x480 pixels. (Your image is 4288x2848)

The online tool only accepts PNG in a resolution of 800x480 pixels.

I have send you your image back in a re-sized form.

Thanks, received it.
