Silver Monte Carlo?...........Suit you, Sir?

Featured Replies

Seems this 'Monte Carlo' affection has gone viral :D

..........Now I can see why. ;)

Enjoy

nice lookin monte carlo brimma, really like that. enjoy

p.s u coming to the midlands meet next month in it

Nice choice Bry.

Any plans to have it sitting closer to earth?

Strewth......Everyone is obsessed with lowering!!!

Nice Bryan...but a Sheep in Wolfs clothing IMO

Good luck with it..Nice to see one that not red and black

When does it get a green Grille?

Only because there is a pretty big gap between wheel to arch Chris, and made worse visually by the black arches...

And also because Mr Brimma isn't adverse to a touch of car modification :)

The dark wheels look better than the VRS ones, which seem to have a silver ring round the edge. (which makes them look a bit odd to me).

Looks very nice

I was unaware there was no fuel 'gauge' ! Kinda looks a bit wierd to me, and as gagetman said, it looks like 'half a display'. I do like the silver colour though

Where does this myth come from that there is no fuel gauge on the non-maxidot? It's in big blocks on the left of the LCD panel :dull:

There is also a gear indicator, to presumably indicate the ideal time to change gear

I also like the way that the speed dial only shows mph markings, there being an LCD readout of the equivalent in kmh

Anyway, drove Lincoln to Spalding and back today, typical journey being stuck being tractors at some stages, but showed 65.5mpg going and 67.6mpg on the return. Getting that out of a brand new engine is simply staggering

I was referring to the black panel below the display.

Someone's nicked his Maxidot. Or Bryan was tight with the extra's ;)

Still looks like a soft roader, scout/rover streetwise body/bumper/wheel arch extensions. not helped by the high ground clearance and the big gap between the wheel arches and wheels.

is the suspension slightly lowered like a vrs or based on a standard fabia?

Wasn't a question of being tight Simon, it was a question of taking what was available for delivery before the end of September to take advantage of the VAT free, 2-years 0% finance deal B)

I think your original order of Red and Black looks the best of the Monty. However, the one you got still looks very good.

Is it manual or DSG?

Only manual in the monte jim, and the reviews says better for it, they should put a 6 speed manual in the vrs as a £500 less option

Must be careful before i open my mouth again :D .. We have not got our Monte yet so I haven't seen a fully working dash. I do know that it's a big improvement on the 2003 model :)

Thanks, I didn't realise that. I agree, a manual vRS mk2 would be very nice.

why didnt you spec maxidot? it looks so much nicer

That silver ring is their best point! Quite special and distinctive...

Accept from an angle you only see part of the ring, which makes it look like you've kerbed the alloys or fitted tyres that are too narrow. ;)

Each to their own, but I don't like it. The monty ones look better.

kerbed the alloys??? :wonder: Some people have a great imagination I guess... But as you said, I second "each to their own" !
