fabia vrs alloys.. what colour to go for?

Featured Replies

Hello all,

When I got my fabia vrs last year the alloys was kurbed alittle and they are going back soon for the winter but before they go I am going to get them powered coated. A lot of you know that the vrs is silver and i was thinking of going red for the wheels like the Porsche wheels.

What's your thoughts on this

Cheers Ant

It would have to be the right colour red tho, not pillar box red something like cherry red.

Black FTW

i think red will look cool.look 4wad 2 seeing some pics

Hi Ant, Im doing the same as you, just deciding which colour to paint them ready for going on as winters. Im having mine shot blasted and powder coated at a place in dinnington that did my white merc ones. Absolutely amazing finish and i paid £120 because they do more industrial work than just wheels and bodywork like most others. Why not see how far you are away from Dinnington or Worksop and you could drop them with me and have them done together if you havent already found a place. Plus we might get a tenner knocked off or something for having 2 sets :) let me know mate

I'm in a similar situation as yourself, trying to decided what colour to do my wheels on my Red vRS and can't make my mind up. I fancy doing them myself aswell but due to not having a spare set of wheels it's not possible....Shame as they are really letting the overall look of the car down due to the flaking on them :(

ive just done mine to put back on for the winter. . but still wanted somewhing different . . .so did darkblue/green pearlecent, metallic blue and black mixed together =]. . .

Metallic grey / anthracite FTW.

Works best on all colours, although gold on black looks awesome!

Maybe this didn't float my boat due to there being no stripe action like in my Render? Maybe the stripes maketh the motor? ;)

Ant.... Red's gonna look quite slick I recon.. You gonna do anything else red? I dunno why, but a red rear view mirror springs to mind? the little details, ya know? :D

EDIT...

Sorry about the thread Hijack Ant....

SAM! SAM!... I was right! lol! It was the missing stripe I didn't like when you pointed this car out a few weeks back.. look, I quickly stripped it up.. looks a million times better!
