£100 to spend on accessories/extras - what?

Featured Replies

With the car I got £100 of vouchers that are to be used at a dealer by the end of the year. The car doesn't need a service until March-ish (and it's paid for on a service plan already) so what would you spend £100 on at a main dealer?

I have never, ever gone and bought dealer tat merchandise before I so I don't know what there is. Alternatively, would you recommend any parts for a light mod? I know the auto light switches are about 60 quid - I am assuming that the labour on a job like adding light assist (I already have rain sensor/auto mirror) would not come out to an awful lot more if I went through with it. My mats could probably do with a swap eventually but for now, they'll do (and they're available in lots of places for about 40 quid anyway, which is reasonable for a set of tailored mats).

The genuine sun shades for the rear windows are pretty neat (£90) if you have kids...

Mud flaps, rubber mat for boot, curry hook, fitted rubber/velour floor matts

We got a couple of those white rally jackets which were on special. See what is on special in the catelogues.

Rubber mats is a good call, car needs new wiper blades anyway. Must have been owned by a posh lad from new as it already has a spare wheel!!

Got a set of rubber mats, new wiper blades all round (the old ones were shot) and a new antenna yesterday from Farmers in Leicester. Parts man chucked in a small bottle of screenwash as well as I'd got to just under 100 quid. Top man!

£40?

Just spent our £200 (have plans for both the Fabia and the Octavia) last week. After some deliberation the final list was:

Bulb sets (for both)

Rubber mats (Fabia)

Touch up paint (both)

10 litres of Quantum oil (both)

Wipers front and back (both)

Dealer kindly rounded it down so that it came to exactly £200 in total.

Was staggered at the price of the wipers though…….but on the upside the oil was really cheap so I’m happy.

I think the rear wiper blade is about 7 quid but the fronts over £30. Not really bothered as it was all covered by the vouchers anyway.

There is that by just because I have vouchers doesn't mean that I don't want value. Get my wipers off the internet for £22 and could probably get them cheaper. So also struggling to find something to buy.

I agree in principle but I'm not going to spend cash on something I can get with the vouchers and then try and decide what to get with the voucher, if you see what I mean. I can get the aerial from GSF fro £18 and I daresay I could get the mats for less - I can't quantify spending 60 quid cash on these things because they're cheaper and then trying to decide what to spend the voucher on.
