Does anyone know any info on this car?

My budget it 4k.... But It has everything done to it that I would do...

I have been looking at ones with about 80k on for 4k.....

Many Thanks

Adam

possibly a bit too modded imo.. I'd like to have the car original so you know it is replacing damaged bits for the wrong reasons.. that's me though, im weird like that

As above, I thinks its been modded a bit to much for my taste. But You might as well go down there and check it out.

If you're on a limited budget can you afford the insurance hike that such a modified car will require - nowadays anything modded from standard seems to cause complications - on my first car the leather seats even meant that a lot of companies wouldn't quote - and that was the only mod to declare.

That looks pretty good. I'd buy a modified car like that. Only way to find out is go and have a test drive.

Bit expensive for the mileage though. I'd expect to pay no more that £3200

I would touch it a lot. Then I might touch myself after driving it... :D

If it really has got a full service history by Skoda and Awesome and the work carried out has been done by Awesome with receipts then spot on.

It's not as modified as some cars on this forum, its basically got bigger brakes, chipped, different wheels, PD160 intake and few other bits it just seems loads with how they've listed it. A lot of it is routine like cam belt and cv joint.

If you see it and drive it and it's clearly been looked after then

PS agree with last poster re price - I paid 3.5k for my 53 plate with 92k on the clock and FSSH with a couple of mods...

i'l sell you a 06 vrs 80k,standard bar a set of spiders for 4.5k

Ok thanks everyone, Going to look at it tomorrow.

Insurance is not a problem.

Also going to look at a 90k one with a FSSH for 3k

Thanks - KTM but thats just out of my budget.

good luck mate

Bit of a bargain of ya ask me, every worthwhile mod done, fsh ect? What's not to like? Go down and have a look and you'll know straight away if it's Been looked after

Only thing is the milage. However if it's been look after and got the service and history behind the car then it shouldn't be a problem. I'd look to knock a couple of hundred of the asking price thou.

Bloody hell, So the original owner was trying to sell it for £2550!! and this dealer Is wanting 3850!!!

It's a lot of money tbf!

Maybe try and knock a grand off :) I'd pay around 3 for that.

My only concern would be how long the turbo is likely to last.

If it's still got the original one and it's modded with 133k on it... the price needs to come down.

Personally wouldnt buy a modded one with that many miles on. For £4,000 id look for the cleanest lowest mileage one i could find then do the mod myself over time.

Matt

I REALLY don't get this whole low mileage thing. A car that's been driven is effectively a provably reliable car.

The vRS engine wasn't designed to be started up and stopped. It was designed to run and run and run. It's a motorway engine. The real thing that wears these engines is starting and stopping.

On an 8 year old car you should budget to replace the suspension and the brakes too. You should be looking at the bodywork, the seats. Has the car been looked after?

Turbo's go. Clutches go. If yopu're buying someone else's cast offs you should expect trouble.

Look for a car in good condition with a full service history and BUDGET FOR TROUBLE!

I'd buy it as long as all the work has receipts to prove its been done as stated.

I just think 130,000 on a modded one is too high. I should rephrase when say lowest mileage I mean within reason not 8,000 miles lol

Matt

100K plus isnt unusual for a VRS of that age though!! Mine is just over the 100K - its modded and is 100% reliable. As long as the engine has been regularly serviced - surely a high mileage wouldnt put you off?? I know it hasnt with any of my cars!

I`m not adverse to high miles, mine had 116,000 when i bought it, and has 156,000 now lol. I just think theres better cars for the money, I`d deffo want a standard one too tbh

Matt

The thing is its who you sell it to and where you sell it! If a modded one went up for grabs on here that was well known - then mileage would probably last thing on your mind. All my cars have had quite high mileage - but ive modded all of them.

Buy the highest spec std car you can with maybe 100K on the clock. Then do things as and when they need replaced. Just use upgraded parts instead of std parts

How did you get on with the viewing in the end?
