Seat swap to Octavia from Golf mk4

simple answer is yes you can. Fronts are dead easy, rear backs are heavy though, However, if you have seats from a three door golf then there is a small gap on the outsides of the rear seats between the base and back, I will try and get a picture up in the daylight tomorrow. Big advantage of three doors seats though is the way they move forward for cleaning :D

Yup! Same issue with my Audi S3 seats in my Octy estate. It's not enough to bother me though.

Thanks All for your replies. Matt, great pictures of different seat patterns, I like the idea of the ones with the flip front seats- great for carrying that extra junk.

Assuming you have an elegance you will need to get golf seats with airbags or get the airbag controller recoded to remove the seat airbags or you will get the airbag light come on and all the airbags get disabled.

Sorry for the overuse of the word airbag.

One other thing I forgot to mention, you will notice on the Recaro's & the Golf seats that there isn't a Centre Seat belt in the rear, These seats had a 3point centre belt but the owners I bought them from kept the bolt/bracket for the base and as I didn't need a 3rd seat I tucked the belt over into the boot. The Bora seats however came with a Lap belt

This is the gap you get tho hence why I put the std vRS rears back in. I am (one day) gonna have the fronts recovered to match the vRS white n black.(my plan is to keep it as original as pos but using the best parts from the mk4 platform range)

I'm sure I saw a decent set go for about £1300 recently. Crazy money.

How Much!!!!!

damn lol I got mine for a steal then. They did sell on ebay for 850 but the winner piddled him about so I emailed him and said I can be up in 4 hr lol with a nice tidy sum lol. £6.. lol

Love them and cant wait till I can afford to get them covered in to match the vRS stuff lol.

They are like rocking horse poop to get hold of, the 1/2 leather stuff comes up every now n then but all the GTI boys want them too.

Oh n anyone want a nice set of vRS seats? I have the front and rears I need to get shut of?

Personally experince of those Golf GTi seats is that if you are a passenger then the lumbar really hurts the back of your arms!

I would really like a set of RS6 seats for my car but like **** am I paying £1000+ for them. Rather spend it on something better.

all the audi(S3,s4,s6)seats are recaro and basically the same design from our age of cars, if you fit the s3 seats you have basically the same seats as the same age rs6 and they dont cost anywhere near £1000plus, you can get s3 seats for around £300 upwards.

They are a better seat than the konig r seat too to be honest, they are more adjustable more comfy and more supportive

lol...do it ;)

Got tyre's to get while the 18's are off for paint

Also got poly bushes for wishbones, front arb and axle to do and fit some adjustable drop links to stop the arb catching the driveshaft lol.......it's rather low :giggle:

Maybe after that lol
