cheers guys, will get it checked on pay day lol, got coilies coming soon so will double check it all then.

Console bushes, ARB bushes, top mount bearings, droplinks lol lots of thing like to go clonk on a Fabia lol.

Possibly a broken coil spring (sheared at one end, so you don't even realise it's gone)? It happened to mine last year, and it was only spotted during its MOT months later; the clonking disappeared as soon as the spring was replaced.

Take it to your local garage for them to have a look and get a possible correct diagnosis.

I would also say drop links.

You cant tell by looking/moving them.

They are only cheap and VERY easy to replace so just get them out the way.

If ya find the garage tell you nothings wrong, then could still be the console bushes because I had low speed / speed bump clonks and my mech said all was fine but I KNEW it was the console bushes due to having them go, and be replaced on my previous Fabia.. eventually they were changed and surprise surprise the clonking stopped.

If it IS the console bushes.. be sure to do a search on here for "Cupra Console Bushes" or the like.. much better part as it's solid and doesn't give up anywhere near as quickly as the stock part.

Console bushes tend to clonk when setting off after enthusiastic breaking, or having reversed.. and when going slowly over speed bumps... of that helps at all... I found the Drop links tend to have a rattle noise to them over rough ground.

i had this problem it turned out to be droplinks if they are gone they have play in them which i mean you can move them in and out.

I just looked at mine when I took them off and noted that the rubber on them was shot. Reason enough for me to replace. Clunking over rough terrain = gone.

Replaced them with Meyle HD drop links. Much meatier :D
