I have had my Superb Elegance Greenline for 6 months now and it is just back from its 15k kms service (around 9,200 miles) at a cost of €160. No problems to report. The car is more comfortable now than when I first got it - I found the ride hard initially but I was driving an E Class Merc before this so that was like a sofa!

I use an app on my Android phone call aCar everytime I fill the car and I fill it to the brim each time. Here are some stats of actual fuel consumption

Average mpg - 52.733

Max mpg - 56.639

Min mpg - 47.623

Litres per fill up - 43.87 (9.65 gallons)

Miles between fill ups - 510.66

Total litres - 789.71 (173.74 gallons)

Days between fill ups - 11

Average € per litre - €1.417 (€6.45 a gallon)

€'s per fillup average - €62.11

Miles per € - 13.16

My driving is 2 to 3 runs on a motorway of 330 miles each per month at speeds of 125kph (touching 80mph) and then commuting around town with lots of stop start etc....

I find the engine to be very responsive even fully loaded and the car is flawless. I'm happy with the fuel figures given that my last car averaged 26mpg. On an A road journey on Sunday last with 3 adults and 2 kids in the car I got 62mpg out of it. Hope this is of interest to members and potential buyers.

Some very interesting statistics, thanks for sharing.

I have been recording similar stats on my 170bhp Superb over the past year and average out at 47mpg (mostly motorway driving).

I have recorded the fuel consumtion of my 1.4 tdi Roomster over the last six months.

Best 61.53

Worst 46.55

Miles covered 4061

Fuel used 74.45 gallons

Cost per mile £0.1137

Based on the figures I may consider a Superb next time around
