CCV mod

Featured Replies

Hi,

I was hoping to do the CCV mod today but was defeated removing the old pipe. I've read here that the best way to do this is to use a hacksaw on the hose connector. To be honest I would rather retain all the OEM parts incase I decide to undo the mod or MOT rules change and I have to.

Has anyone done this mod without using a hacksaw/ butchering the hose connectors?

Thanks in advance

Joe

The hose un-clips at both ends. Spring clip at cam cover, and plastic clip at manifold end. This is removed by squeezing the two rings together and pulling.

I couldn't understand why everyone cut there as when I went to do mine the pipe just pulled off lol

Same here took less than 10 seconds to remove old pipe and about 2 mins to put the ccv hose in place and blank the hole up.

Keep mine in the boot just incase.
