Apple Power Mac G5 2x2ghz - BREAKING!

Featured Replies

Got hold of a faulty G5 2x2ghz.

This threads more of feeler as not sure what people would want or if I even have it in functioning condition as it was diagnosed with a bad logic board.... but actually.. I reckon that it's one of the G5's that's letting go as It boots once in a blue moon and will complain of CPU-0 not being present.

I've got a 1.6 G5 and took this dual on to investigate shoving a 2ghz in my system, but it's not really possible as from what I can learn, even if you get it to boot it'll never be right. I bought the 1.6 new so It's earned the right to not be fettled with in it's old age.

PM me for more info as I'm expecting no interest.

Case would be perfect for a home brew intel Mac, OSX86 anyone? ;)

(will say though, it's a teeny bit bent.. but could be bent back with care and time)
