Mini Cumbrian Run 2011 - Dates/Locations TBC

Featured Replies

Be aware that this late in the year, if there is snow lying at low levels, Hartside and Hardknott pass will be no-go areas.

Looks like at the moment, I'm free the last weekend of november and the first few of December. Somehow I've got something or other on each weekend. Also our work rota it's still in the air due to us being short staffed grrr.

I'm thinking of re-routing because Hardknott is also unaccessible for people in lower cars too.

Should we get it arranged for last weekend November, Ian?

Then keep an eye on the weather nearer the time?

If a Morris Minor can get over it, anything can :) Even the lowest powered Fabia won't have a problem.

Oh, I see :)

I would advise that they raise the car a bit if they want to enjoy driving these roads rather than posing ;)

Dave says the 26th is fine with him , sadly i wont be making an appearance because i have a car crash to attend

err i mean my sisters wedding ...oooops :giggle:

Captain Scarlet here btw peeps, hijacked bros account :giggle:

As Ash has said Dave has booked Saturday 26th November off, so that'll be the date for the meet. We'll clarify the meeting point and time shortly. Bring it on... B)

I like the run you suggested, but if there is alot of cars negotiating hardnott and wyron's could be hard....

Yeah that's the only problem, the lowered cars... But, if they wana tour our fantastic roads they should raise them for the 26th :p B)

your route goes in the oppostite direction to some of the runs Ive done in the past, there was some really good roads over the moors after the two passes... will we be finding them too? (cant describe better without looking at a map!)

If you have a look at the new thread that lists some locations - we will decide upon an actual route, I'll discuss this with Ian. :)

You could combine this with a stop off at the Grizedale Rally. Thats on the both sat and sun of the last weekend. Night stage on the Saturday and normal stages on the Sun.

Just thought it as an idea, no Skodas entered as yet though!
