A quick question:-

After completing a 2 - player race in Arcade mode with the split screen, how do you watch the replay without the split screen ? This was possible in GT3 but I can't find a way of turning off the split screen during replay in GT4.

There must be a simple answer to this one.

Surely you must be able to, every GT game previously had the abilty to, I seem to remember pressing select in a previous version, but then this time that pauses replay or goes into photo mode with GT4, maybe L3/R3 does it? Can't think without the controller in front of me...

Just want to recommend a car I got last night, 1962 Buick Special for 58,000 credits.

I thought it looked great and fancied something old school, anyway its an awesome car! It is the best sounding one i have driven by far (anything other than stock exhaust ruins this) and although it looks like a drag car it actually handles amazingly well. Supercharger takes it to 800bhp + and LSD stops one of the rear wheels spinning all the time (as with lots of older cars in gt4).

Dont think it would be much cop at the ring but at most tracks its super fast.

Now gonna enter it in USA cup.

hmmm wonder if that will work in the world classic cup in pro league.... I'm currently using a ginetta g4 and it sucks around corners - always get whooped by ac cobra

I've just whopped the pro classic cup with the Ginetta - great car tbh......

Currently beating them all in the pro cup where they've gotto be <4000mm long - Ginetta fits in there too (can't remember cup name lol)

The ginetta is quality...i couldnt believe it when i went to do weight reduction and it was only 400kg to start with!

Managed a sub 8 seconds round the ring in my manic 600hp Golf R32. Not a good car for the job though. Anything AWD is not that good around there as there are too many flat out corners where AWD prefer to go straight on !

Got a 8 dead in my M3 CSL with a roll cage and stage 3 exhaust and filter. Lovely car to drive that one !

How do you get the gienetta to stay on the track around corners?! its manic!!!! Have you got the full LSD on it and roll cage?

I have everything but those 2.... I started saving for an AC cobra to win that race

I just drive the Ginetta for fun TBH, like the way it powerslides so i guess it wouldnt be too adept at racing.

I really should do more races but i love just driving the cars! Spent an hour last night taking pictures of cars on wet tsuba circuit, beautiful!

CSL is one of my favorite cars, i love it...standard suspension is awesome.

Anyone got any suggestions for less obvious cars which are good?

Amuse Carbon Concept tuner car....Its the black beast with a purple exhaust...complete monster, dont even contemplate driving without slicks! :P

The real shocker for me was the Cadillac Cien 02 (Won in the first rally of the special conditions races) 720 bhp stock goes up to 960ish with Super Charger bolted on - stick a NOS kit on it and it goes like stink (238 mph top end without messing around with gearing too much, so it will go faster), and handles fairly well aswell (need some sticky tyres though and it WILL eat them, racing mediums last about 3 laps at a push :eek:

Racing Softs wont last 2 laps as the wheels are still spinning in 4th gear even with TC on 10 :eek:

Did a 3 lap race around Seatle with it and the rear tyres were very red at the end , but then I am heavy on tyres anyway

Currently 13hrs into the 24 hour race around the 'ring. Switching between myself and B-spec driver at pitstops.

Go to the far left of the menu screen to "Special Conditions", then enter "Easy - Costa di Amalfi", complete the two races and win 5,000 Cr per race (10,000 Cr total). You will win a Toyota RSC Rally Raid Car '02 worth 265,624 Cr!

You can redo the two races as many times as you like and keep winning the car, just make sure you "clear" each time you enter

I've used all sorts of things, RS200, Integra Type R, Audi S4 Touring car...

I get very bored of using the same car over and over again on that circuit

Should be very (VERY) easy with any car over 400bhp. I end up over 1.5 minutes ahead in the faster cars!!

Im started to feel bad for doing the amalfi race too many times

But i love buying new cars...

BTW i think the car you race against is dependant on the car you use. I have won it loads of times in a standard Integra type-r with 200bhp, against a renault 5 turbo.

If i use something better like a scooby i'll be against an audi quattro instead.

Has anyone ever even driven the toyota raid car I know i havent.

Speed reading doesnt pay obviously....for some reason i thought you said use a car with over 400bhp and you already mentioned the integra type r aswell.
