Wow, that wait would kill me, I thought waiting 12 weeks for a TSI was bad enough!!!

However, in Candy White they look awesome, definately the best VRS colour, I keep looking at mine outside on teh drive, its just awesome!!!

Enjoy the car when it arrives, in the meantime, just keep reading up about them etc to wet yoru appetite for it when it turns up!

TBH, I could probably have it a bit earlier but Ive told the dealer to keep it till 1st March for the new registration.

Dont want it registered in february as when I come to trade it it may affect prices etc, plus its only a few weeks, or 14 days or 336 hours or... :'(

I was in the exact same position this time last year and waited till 1st march to get it. Worth the wait and it was the first time I had driven a new registration on the day it came out as I'd never waited for the new registration in the past.

Are you still waiting for the '12' plate if it can be at the dealers in January?

More to the point will the dealer allow you to wait 2 months to buy the car?

I thought there were requirements that the car had to be registered within a certain amount of time under the VAT-free offer.

I can understand cars arriving 1-2 weeks before a new plate, but two months....

If it does indeed get built in Week 48, I think you'll have a job not collecting it until 1st March...

With that date, I'd expect it to be with the dealer by the end of Jan at the latest.

It'll be worth the wait, I ordered mine on November 15th 2010 and took delivery on 16th May 11, 6 months ish but WELL worth it!
