Just wondering really if anyone could make a video how the cruse control works on their Fabia, thinking of having it retro fitted.

I have used cruse control in Mercedes before but just wondering how you set your speed where it is displayed ? can you still see your mpg while it is on ? and does it cut out if you touch the break or the throttle ?

There is no visual clue as to it working. You simply press "set" button and the speed stays the same when you take your foot off the gas. It stops either by dipping clutch/brake, or flicking off switch on the stalk. Then you can use set button to re-set, or resume button and the car will accelerate back to the speed you were doing.

All other car functions can be used, such as the MFA - that's operated from the opposite stalk.

Ahh i see so its not like you choose your speed on the display, you just go the speed you desire an then press set an it will hold it there ? have i understood correctly ?

I think you can increase/decrease your speed using the stalk too, but haven't tried mine yet (and it's 200 miles away ATM)

Yeah you can do. Once you're on c/c, press the set/- button to decrease and press the res/+ button to increase. You can also hold them down to continually increase or decrease until you reach the speed you want, although it's usually much quicker just to put your foot down and set it again.
