ok guys,,,last week, i noticed my windows fogging up alot with my wndow demister turned on,,i alos noticed a water gurgling noise when i turned the car off after a journey and it was comingfrom the glove box area..my carpets were not wet or anyting so i thought to myself i may have a minor heater core matrix leak,,, and we all know how much of a pain this is to change out,,,. so i did some research, an cam up with a stop leak product called NOVASTOP RADIATOR.i was a bit heitant at first about putting these type of products through my cooling system,,but i thought since my leak was minor,id give it a go,, so 5 days ago,i poured a bottle of NOVASTOP into my expansion tank,,followed the intructions on the bottle,,, and hey presto,,,,leak sorted!!!! no more foggy windows,,,no more gurgling ,, and alot more heat coming from the vents on he dash,,, i will monitior things over the next while,,,but i ink this one could be a winner,, it was kinda expensive aswell 18 euros from a local motor factor,,,but im happpy with results

although im sure it will,, the guy in the motor factor tried it on a 01 bora before,,,and he said ithad no ill effects on coolant or cooling system

I had a tiny pin hole leak in my rad some time early last year. One bottle of K-Seal later (as recommended by my local independent, before I go the expense of a new rad) and it's still fine.

i think whe the leak is on a small level like mine ad yours softscoop,, the a sealant will work fine,,plus my coolant is fresh enough nd te sytem was fully flushed on the last coolat change ,.,,so any crap will have been flushed from the system,. if push comes to shove a heater core replacment will have to happen,,,but all looks good so far

I think the gurgling is normal? Both my octavia's have done it and does my dads? I've never noticed a damn floor and it uses no water? Can anyone else confirm?
