Does this supra exists?

Featured Replies

Right then im looking for a particular toyota supra, and I can't find one any where,so I'm asking if this model even exists? I'm starting to think the one I've seen was modified, So then the model in question,

The newer shape (if you know what I mean)

Aero top, 3.0 litre, twin turbo, manual. If possible 6 speed but will be happy with the 5.

There are loads of automatics out there but I'm after a manual, I fear im going to have to either buy an aero top bolt on another turbo, swap the auto gear box!

I'm 99% certain that it does exist. But iirc there were very few made!

IIRC, that spec is unavailable in UK spec, but is available as an import!

This is good news any trusted import company's?

Yup, it does exist but there won't be any UK cars like that!

It's the fabled 2JZ engine, as illustrated by this:

Ah didn't know the engine code, very good.

I said the engine code in my first reply!

To the best of my knowledge the Aerotop is also only available in LHD. One was the orange "hero car" in the original "The Fast and the Furious".

this looks like the type of thing you want to go for, a nice standard NON-bodykitted model. it's about £1500 more than I would pay for it, but if it's as mint as the advert implies then you could consider it.

find a manual 2JZ aerotop in the UK thats not already be played with up to 570lbft circa(the max power the standard gearbox can take even with hardended gears) it going to be very difficult.

it you are gonna buy a modded one, make sure it's one that was modded in the UK and in the last 5yrs.

what you don't want is an import that was modded in Jap to an unknown spec about 10yrs ago.

Should add that this car has a genuine Japanese body kit and replacement bonnet; I can't remember off-hand which body kit it is (not a Veilside though).

Have a look at www.jmimports.co.uk they have all sorts of rare and wonderful supras available.

Mmm 2JZ.........go nice in my volvo's engine bay B)

Not many turbo'd 6 speeders about so do some research before buying one.

I'm very impressed with Ken's rice knowledge!
