Hi all,

I Clayed my car yesterday and it was absolutely covered in blue paint. He's the clay after the first tickle. Oh my cars red BTW.

And this was the clay after the roof and bonnet.

The joys of working in and around industrial premises. My car looks mint after a clay and polish. Started to wax it and it started to rain.

Any way any of you guys get this much 💩 off your paint work or is it just me?

Had loads off the first time I clayed mine. 5 Years worth of gunk.

Now I do it every 6 months and hardly any comes off. Usually get brown streaks from tar but that's it, never blue though. :D

I know. I work next to chep. The manufacture pallets and spray them blue. But that's half a mile away.

Never had another colour of paint come off before. Normally just little bits of tar and other contaminants that don't come off with washing. The feeling of ultra smooth post-clay paintwork is very nice. :D

That's crazy, talk about pollution, your breathing that stuff in!!

But more importantly, your car is getting covered, you must complain!! :giggle:

Im going to mention it to my manager tomorrow. It's not right. And yes the old girl is getting dirty. Cant be having this. :swear:

If it is coming from the company spraying pallets they are in serious breach of regulations regarding spray painting. Even if the paint is non toxic, they are causing damage to other property (and possibly peoples health) due to fallout. Keep the clay, local authority could get a trace sample of paint from it, and if it matches company paint in use, watch the poop hit the fan for the company.

Given you haven't read the OPs posts correctly (it's not his company), I hope he will ignore your comments. Any company that is allowing spray fallout to escape, is in flagrant breach of health and safety regarding paint regulations. If the residue on his car is indeed blue paint, people will be breathing it in. Most wood paints contain an anti fungal agent that is extremely hazardous to humans, especially children.

To be perfectly frank, I really expected more from a site sponsor. Are you suggesting it is OK to ignore safety issues, if it's your own company, or a company that you work for?

Damm that's some serious blue lol id be tampin.

I do not work at the company but the car park is in close proximity to there company.

Just makes life more difficult when cleaning.

I would defo complain, I can't imagine what that stuff would be doing to you when you breath it in, toxic or not it aint gona be good :(

I think I`d be raising some questions about that tbh. Its not healthy to be breathing that **** in, who knows what long term damage it`ll do
