this is it for now, only a fairly small sample of what me and brother took

That skyline just doesn't look right without the twin towers :(

I'll be there in a few weeks, so I'll have to pay homage down at Ground Zero. Having visited the World Trade Centre a few times, I can understand some of the scale of the destruction. If you think the view from the Empire State is impressive, it was even better from the top of the WTC.

Mind you, for anyone who is going, I'd also recommend the Empire State at night - fantastic views, especially of the Chrysler building.

Great pics Bengie, brings back some memories...

was very strange being at ground zero, had a very odd atmosphere almost like a silence in a very noisy city. after looking at pre attack pictures i was shocked at the size of the buildings compared the ones standing and they were about twice the size of one of the tallest buildings there

and for comaprison this is before and after 9/11

unbelievable really

Just as well yourbridge picture is taken from a distance, as its now illegal to take pictures of bridges and over important structures over there, and they also have some sort of electronic application going around these structures that physically/electronically stops the camera from working.

so how come no one said anything while at the ESB and statue of liberty? or the NY city hall? hang on whats the date today...........no, its not april yet

This isnt a joke, its very real. Since 9/11 the US Government have now made it an offence to photograph structures such as bridges.

As for the electronics jammong, I know of 3 people that have visited the States fairly recently, and all 3 had problems with cameras not working at bridges, but coming back to work when away..both before and after the bridge.
