PC newsletter designing software

Featured Replies

I am designing a newsletter for my local ROSPA group but I am really struggling with MS word. Can anyone recommend any freeware programs with a more "drag and drop" kind of design style? Text boxes, etc. Something reasonably easy.

I am only designing a 15 page A5 booklet so isn't massive at all.

Have you tried Publisher?

Use word, stick all text in text boxes, use the send to back/front functions, you can even copy n paste images into text boxes and then take away borders and fill.

Holding CTRL and pressing the arrow keys whilst selecting a text box moves them in smaller increments than without CTRL being held.

Also use the align function when selecting multiple boxes.

Then save as a PDF. You might need a word add on for this.

If you get stuck PM me.

If you have access to a scanner, why not just sign a blank piece of paper, scan it, and then import the file as a JPEG image.

Simple. :D

I use Serif PagePlus - competant Desktop Publishing software at a reasonable price

When I was secretary of a Club I used MS Publisher.

Did all I needed it to.
