Hello from me and my 227mph Skoda!

Featured Replies

Hello guys,

How are you?

Just noted to introduce myself on here!

My name is Ricky and I built the Skoda Octavia that won a land speed record at Bonneville Speed week.

Are many of you guys into hardware tuning as apprised to software?

Would love to start a thread on good old fashion engine tuning where I can introduce a few projects I have rolling across the VAG group!

Ttfn Ricky

Welcome Ricky to Briskoda,

What's your daily drive?

Hullo - My fabia probably doesn't have the top speed of your Octavia ;) but its not too shabby for a road going daily driver. So far from stock, power is increased 175% and going for 200%+ pretty soon.

Welcome to Briskoda!

The "modding" on the forum is primarily software based but there are a few users who have hardware mods. (DelCal - Red Devil)

Welcome :D

Thanks all!

Building a 225hp Leon FR pd on stock turbo ATM and a 650 hp TTRS so would be nice to share experiences! Lol

650hp TTRS? Hell :D But I think thats still not +200% is it? :D

I think from memory though the Bonneville car was +200%? (200hp ---> 600hp?)

Hello from another Swindon member! Shame I haven't seen a 227mph Octavia around :(

Welcome along.

Can i have the engine please :)

:) Welcome.

;) More rapid than a Rapid then? :p

Welcome an congratulations with the speed record :)

It was over 650hp at 5000 feet and 50 degree ambient temp!

It has to be at least 700hp now it's back home!

The tTRS will be a good one lol.....

Can build you a 600hp tsi engine if you want?

Also here to help and or build strong VAG engines for every application!

Impressive car to be sure.

One of my fellow techs has a few pics of it from a recent show it/you were at.

I'm sure it will turn up at Wymbush at some point, hopefully Feb as that's when my next course is..lol

Welcome to Briskoda.

Got to get it to GTI International 2012 - will sure draw in some crowds having a VAG world record holder there.

A Skoda tuning God has arrived!! Can't wait to read about the stuff you get up to!

Welcome and congratulations. That's was an impressive performance from you and the team, and good for Skoda UK, for doing it.

Hello All,

Yeah Swindon to Milton Keynes is a bit far. lol

I live in Swindon but work at Wymbush in Milton Keynes.

I was at Top Gear Live all weekend with the car so I ended up speaking to quite a few people about the car who popped in to see it. It drew a huge crowd all weekend.

As for tuning a 2.0 ltr TSI, what are you looking for exactly?

I would be happy to talk you through whats needed and supply the parts and expertise needed to build it.

Being fair, if anyone has any particular questions, needs or wants for parts etc then just let me know.

Can get some really really nice parts imported to "beef" up your engine etc.

Speak soon, TTFN

Just wanted to say well done to you and the team. Watched each run with building excitement. Maybe Skoda could produce a model in your honour :D
