Thanks Dark_Hero :)

Bought this for mine today;

4EFAEB53-A950-45FB-AA96-6454F3AC8A72-3065-000002CBE259E578.jpg

It was on eBay, I messages the guy and asked him if he would end early as he was local to me, £15 later and I collected it today. Rather chuffed as its a genuine Skoda headlight and brand new too! Why change it? Over time the cover of the existing light must have not been fitted correctly, dirt and moisture have got inside and clouded the inside of the glass/plastic up. I could have stripped the current one apart and cleaned it but for the sake of a few quid, the new one came up at the right time :)

Attacked my steering wheel this evening with a magic eraser. Reluctant to do it too often but to be honest it looked like it was just removing grease/dirt. Haven't captured it very well as i'm a bit of a DSLR novice :D

Off to have Cruise Control retro-fitted tomorrow. Also been talking to the company about having a trial APR map (6 hours of driving time). I did some reading up on APR and it seems there were various different sources complaning of checksum errors after mapping (one of which was actually ethos from this forum). I expressed my reservations to the company and they have assured me that the "rogue piece of code" created by a disgruntled ex-employee has now been rectified. Still not decided what i want to do yet though :D

Not until I learn how to take decent night shots, ha!

Cruise is now installed as is the APR map. Cruise is great, really does help with the MPGzzzzz!

The map is good, not great but can be improved I think. Problem is the trial map is generic, if I was to have a full one installed it would be tweaked to suit to car. Don't get me wrong, it's not 'bad', just needs some refinement, particularly when taking it steady at low speeds.

Overall though its :D all round, so much more useable power, can't wait to see what it's like on Stage 2, ill decide further into the trial whether I'm going APR or not!

Found a problem with my car today. Started it up and it was running like a bag of nails, panicked, phoned the company who installed the map and they said to bring it in, probably a boost leak. Thought I'd check so as not to look a prat when I arrived and to my surprise the Recirc valve had popped out :D

This also arrived today, not bought a gauge yet, still trying to decide which one to get, I want as OEM as can be (black face and green illumination, red needle if I'm being really picky :D)

SWG Vent Pod and Gauge installed today, it's a smoked gauge so dark when off, white during the day and green when I turn the lights off...

Works well, primary use will be to monitor whether there are any boost leaks or not :)

Fitted the downpipe today with the help of a friend, not a particularly enjoyable job doing it on your back in the freezing cold!!

Old vs. New...

And the bore difference...

Need to get a sleeve to clamp over the join as I'm not 100% happy with an ordinary exhaust clamp.

Spools up quicker but not really given it beans as the roads are slippery. Sounds pretty cool though!

Powerflex red dogbone bush arrived today, bought it because my new Downpipe has already been repaired once due to a torn/split flexi, hoping this will stop it from happening in future :)

Will be having a go at fitting it on my next set of days off!

I also replaced my gearbox linkages as I broke one when doing the linkage reset, both came to less than £10 on eBay brand new :)

Fitting the Dogbone Bush this weekend.

Also made *the call* that i've been putting off for weeks and got my remap booked. Stage 2 "custom live" map with R-Tech.

Excited much :D

New tyres fitted today. Fronts were Wanli and rears were Zeta. To be fair they never caught me off guard or let go, but the Wanlis sounded like a wheel bearing had gone.

Changed to 225/45/17 which is virtually the same rolling circumference as the 205/50/17 that came off. Went with Kuhmo KU39's.

Remap was done today at R-Tech. Had an awesome morning there and an even better drive back! Couple of things to get done if I want to squeeze a bit extra from it but I'm over the moon!

Small update,

My car is fitted with a Forge 007P Recirculating Valve. Leaks are reported/highlighted due to a poor piston design, Forge have now revised this and added a seal to the base of the piston. A lot of people who own one have been sent a revised 'service kit' out for free, so I emailed and asked for one and they sent it out same day.

Fitted it today, no difference but just peace of mind given really..

Bit of exhaust fettling today. Tailpipe hanged a bit low because of the weight pulling on the Y-shaped rubber. Couple of slits cut and banded up with stainless tie wraps, looks much better :)

Could still do with going 10mm higher but I would need to look at different hangers/rubbers.

Crap update. Brother bought a vRS and it came with an Alpine CDE111R, £30 later and it was mine, came with the Hi-Speed cable too :)

Great for me as my phone plugs straight in. File/folder search isn't fantastic but it works.

had one of those till someone smashed the drivers window and snatched it, destroying the wiring to the in-dash amp...

wiring was a pita to restore so beware :D

i always hated how the HU would just hang in "searching" mode

Few bits done today, first up was fitting the front bumper lips purchased 2nd hand (Milotec). No templates so had to do a lot of lining up and measuring.

Next up was a Powerflex dogbone mount. Went for a red (TDI) one as I read they are a bit softer than the yellow variant.

Adjusted my back box hangers to get the tailpipe to sit a bit nicer, it's resonating on the bodywork somewhere when it gets warm so need to investigate that...

Last job for the day was replacing the air filter, copied the trend and got a Honda S2K filter and a silicone downsizer. Filters are only £18 each.
