S2000 have cone shaped filters yes, I copied the trend on Facebook group VAG Talk! You need a 70-90mm silicone adapter. Filters are about £18 from ECP, GSF etc. Just a cheaper way of changing the filter, need to keep an eye on it for longevity!

Thanks mate just had a look on ECP can get them for just under £14 each :) Will see about getting an adapter.

Got hit by a piece of a lorrys hard plastic mudflap, thrown over from the other side of the carriageway.. scary stuff. Got away with a lost wiper and a couple of light scratches on the windscreen. Scared the hell out of us, literally came from nowhere.

No idea how it didn't damage the bonnet/roof, it was huge. Looks like the windscreen deflected it up/over the car.

Ouch! Brown trousers moment. Could have been a lot worse though.

Yep. In the split second before it got, my wife saw it coming and shouted 'watch out' just as it hit. What ever hit it on the other side fired it across to us at a fair speed!

Car looks great, loving the bumper lips. By the looks of it that's a Jetex system? I have the same problem with it hanging a little low, but its doesn't resonated on anything. I'll be doing the same as you with the hanger, I did buy a new one which made it sit a bit higher.

Have you any links on the gear cable catches? I've been looking and on eBay bay they are about £12 each now?????

  • Author

I've now bent the brackets on the back box. Emailed Jetex and they said it wouldn't effect warranty so that's what I did :)

Cable catches were cheaper because there was an eBay £5 off code floating around. Dead now though :(

Purchased from DPM. Getting new top mounts and arb links before fitting.

Sweet, mine are in the post!

Got the coils fitted yet?

  • Author

Not yet. Compiling my new bits before I fit them. Got new bump stops for rear, arb links for the front. Need to order new top mounts, bearings and bump stops for the front and then I'll be good to go :)

PSI Tuning do a kit which looks decent?

This has been a great read. Love the car!

Thanks Rob.

Had a sample of 3M Di-Noc sent through so wanted to see how it looked, hate the finish on the centre console at the moment, this will math well with the clocks and the surround on my boost gauge...

Wow, that 3M stuff looks great!

I'd love to see a pic of the whole console if you wrap the rest

  • Author

I will be doing the rest, yes :)

Car looks great fella.

Whereabouts are you in Market Drayton? My cousin lives in Edgmond so I pop down that way sometimes!

Whats made you go for the Pro Sports? Have you been out in an Octavia with them on yet? I wasn't sure if they'd be a bit crap.

  • Author

I live not far from the town centre, pop me a PM if you're ever in the area.

As for the Prosports, they are not fitted yet as I have some bits left to buy (see previous posts) to give the suspension a full refresh. I don't plan on going much lower than around 20mm, all the reviews say they are fine if you don't go too low, so I thought I would give them a bash :)

Fair enough. Will have to see what they're like! I've had cheap coils on my mk2 Golf and Corrado before but I wasn't sure about a big heavy car with them.

If I'm down that way again will give you a shout!

They're not that heavy! :giggle:

I had Weitec's on my Golf VR6 that was fairly low and that had a shocking ride.

Cars moving along nicely, like the silver wrap.

When jonneh is down next we should have a mini meet I'm only over in Telford.
