Jumbo box?

Featured Replies

Thick question I'm afraid. Is the jumbo box connected to the armrest or is it something different? If so where's it located?

Yes, the armrest is the lid to the jumbo box.

Thanks Gadget man. I thought might be that but I was surprised they called it a jumbo box. I don't find it that big.

Yep, Skoda should be done under the Trade Descriptions act :giggle:

It's bigger than the Mk1 offering ;)

That's what all the girls say.

Have you worked out the "height adjustment" yet ?

Took me ages, nearly broke it

you mean the angle thingymebob?

What about the fact it pulls out. My wife didn't realise she could push it back in so just lifted it up when she first borrowed it :)

Are we talking about the lid sliding? The compartment (box) looks pretty fixed

The padded lid of the jumbo box can slide forwards and backwards.

It is also hinged at the back, and can be pulled up at the front at various preset angles.

Pull up further then push down to reset.

The jumbo box itself is fixed.

The little sluice gate inside can be pulled up/pushed down for temperature adjustment via aircon.

Not that you can get much in there.

I had had the car three years when one of my daughters told me it could slide :giggle:

I didn't know the height adjusted. Might check out that next. Cheers for all the info.

After 3.5 years having read this yesterday I discovered that it tilted up and stayed there! I knew it slid but thought this was useless as made using the handbrake awkward. But it ratcheted it up and hey presto armchair motoring.

Thanks.

Things you didn't know you didn't know

is there anyone who has actually used this feature yet? keeps my mp3 player cool mind :dull:

Well it blows air at the same temp that your climate is on, so aircon on cold ,blows cold , econ button on ( aircon off) and sett to to 22 or higher will have warm air in the glovebox

It should be called a tiny box! I can't understand why it's calle djumbo box, I can barely fit my wallet in there!

You know there's a vent in there that you can close, right?

found it

still think there pointless...

I still dont get this dual zone business on climate control does it make a magic wall in car so its 18Deg at one side and 30 odd at other?

But back to the point does anyone know which of the dual zones each works off as this got me thinking if they are on opposite ones it would be possible to keep the pies warm and the pop cold at the same time!! :o
