PDC and Bolero radio volume reduction

Featured Replies

Trying to get to the bottom of Park Sensor and Bolero volume reduction and what effect adjusting it has using the radio settings.

If click the top left button (tone controls) of the Bolero and click volume then click PDC volume adjustment, you have 4 options:

Off

Low

Medium

High

Could other forum members please let me know what each of these options do to the radio volume if reverse is engaged and PDC is activated :wonder:

Many thanks,

TP

I think it works the opposite of what you may think is supposed to happen.

OFF = function disabled, radio volume remains the same.

LOW = volume reduces slighty

MED = slightly more

HIGH = volume reduces significantly.

Thanks mannyo,

Monster in at dealears currently;

as I cannot detect any difference between Off, Low and Medium with High turning the volume off completely. Does anybody else have volume no volume (off) in high :wonder: :wonder:

Thanks,

TP

I think if I remember correctly. On the Demo Yeti I had I switched the PDC to High and the radio muted completely.

But as i haven't got a yeti and cannot be 100% sure. :doh:

Can't remember what my PDC is set to but it mutes the radio completely when I engage reverse. I also have control of volume and frequency in the MaxiDot menus.

Hi Tim

Just checked mine high radio muted low radio stays on, hope you get it sorted soon

regards

Kevin

Hi Plumber

In my Yeti this works like on video:

Practically when HIGH is selected, than radio sound disappears completely.

Hi Vuk,

0/10 for the music :rofl:

Good video though! 10/10 for that!

Thanks for the link Vuk;

that works better than mine; I can clearly hear the change between low and medium in the clip unlike in my Monster :wonder:

Had Allams look at it and they felt it had a fault with the control unit but no spares available while I was down there. Since had two local dealers look at it and both have come back stating it's fault free (no fault codes either) :( very confused.com

To my ears there's no noticeable change in volume between off, low and medium; high as in the clip does mute however.

Hope this works (unlike the radio) :giggle:

Music is from local radio station in my place - I did not pay attention to this - sorry :)

Thanks guys for reminding me of this hidden menu. I was going to look in the manual for it but always forgot. I normally just turn the volume up while I am using reverse because I forgot where this menu was located. Probably I have selected the option High thinking that would raise the volume of the music :doh:.
