gold flakes in my oil fillter

i have a 2007 ocy vrs 60,000 miles on the clock , only had it 4 months , brought from a dealer , i serviced the car when i got it and found gold flakes in my oil fillter after a bit of presure the dealer replaced the main end , big end and end float bearings , i asked to see the old parts they were fine little wear, i have run in the new bearings and the car runs fine , done another oil chainge and still found gold flakes in the oil filter , next job is to pull the cam cover and cheak the top end cam follower cams etc , has anyone got any ideas skoda dealer said cant think of any thing made of gold colour metal in the engine thanks ping......

Did you mention to the dealer that you're still seeing gold bits?

Interesting that you bought from a dealer but still needed to service it yourself when you got it. Why didn't the dealer service it?

If your engine keeps producing gold, DO NOT SELL IT, OR COMPLAIN. Brass from a gearbox I could understand, but from an engine?

they had done a service but i was not sure what oil had been used , i use castrol edge
