heater vent/hazard switch assembly removal

Hi all

i've got the well known indicator flasher problem appeared on my 53 plate octy1

i've got a new hazard switch on order

just wanting to know how to get the vent assembly out without trashing the dashboard

pictures would be great as well

all you need to do is pry off the sqaure surround the hazard switch, only the central bit not the whole vent, then use a flat bladed screwdriver to lever out the switch, did mine a few weeks back and took all of 5 mins.

Cheers for the reply - already had that little cover of and there doesnt appear to be room to pry a screwdriver down the side of the expposed switch as it has flat edges all round it :S

Sorry to hijack the post but I am trying to get the actual center vents out. do they just pop out or is there hidden screws as the vanes have detached from the wheel.

Sorry again for hijacking but seemd to be a similar post.

there is a push clip at the top and bottom off the relay, when you get your new one you will see, iirc i used a small blade and levered it out from the bottom part then just pulled it out.

I used a pen knife blade on mine, it just pops out. Really easy to do, just take your time and poke the blade in till it pulls out just be gentle and you wont do any damage
