Is anyone running Phillips Diamond Vision bulbs?

If so what are they like for brightness and colour effect please?

Ollie

Can't comment on the Diamond Vision, but I'm running X-treme Vision and they're brilliant :)

I installed Philips Blue Vision "Xenon look" bulbs for the main beam to accompany the factory fit 'proper' Xenons on my MK1 vRS. They did the job pretty well.

Are Xtreme vision an average yellow white colour? I know the Diamond vision come across as a 6000k temperature, however I don't know whether they would be more bluey or just a white

No idea on the temp. They're pretty white, but then I didn't buy them for the looks, I bought them to be able to see better at night; at that they're excellent.

Sorry can't help - am running Extreme Vision and Night Breakers.

I would also like to know about Diamond Vision too. Ta

PowerBulbs - Philips Diamond vision twin pack

* A distinctive blue light on the road to enhance the styling of the vehicle

* Off road use (as not road legal)

Are they legal to use and do I need to modify my vehicle?

Diamond Vision can be used without making any changes or modifications to your vehicle. They just need to be exchanged with the bulbs that you are currently using. This product is not road legal within the EU.

Who cares about the law on here. Want to fit a cheap aftermarket Xenon kit, know it's illegal without various bits, no problem :D Same for LED sidelights and LED brake bulbs etc

Not for long!! Lol

Has anyone been pulled over for using diamond vision?

"Philips Diamond Vision H7 bulbs are a styling product for motorist wanting a bulb that will stand out from the crowd. They produce a distinctive blue look in the headlight due to their colour temperature of 5000K. If you are looking for greater light output, then this isn’t the choice for you as this product is specifically designed for styling and they are not road legal within the EU. You should choose Diamond Vision if you are looking for:"

Really? You can get LED bulbs on new cars though, like BMW's have all LED bulbs in their rear clusters etc?

Anyone got a photo of the colour? I'm after some bluey coloured bulbs to match my 5000k Xenon's...

BMW must have gone through some rigorous product development to get E mark approval.

None of the bulbs most will put in sidelights and brake lights will be e marked (look out for the "e" on standard bulbs). Technically any bulb without an e mark is not legal for road use, hence why retailers warn against the legality of the Diamondvision. However, an MOT tester is generally concerned with functionality and apparent brightness. So long as your bulbs were bright enough/not blinding people, white (not blue/green etc), and not appearing to be fog lights, only the biggest rsole cop in the force who had nothing better to be doing would pull you over (and he'd be the type who knows everything and wants you to talk back).
