Having had a Kidney (with a very large tumour) removed just on two years ago and a further op earlier this year my thoughts are with you; although I'm sorry to hear your scenario seems somewhat more serious.

I'm sure you'll be in good hands, hope all goes well and you'll be back at work when you want to.
