We can handle the warranty for you on the units you supply to forum users. We would however need to know who had a unit (full name and address) and what unit they had (model) and serial number (serial number is on the outside of the box)

I assume that if you were involved in an accident, which was your fault, and the footage showed such, you would be totally fubared?

Can you use them as a hand held cam corder too if you so desired?

I don't think these have a built in power supply, so unless you were to have a hand held 12v supply then I doubt it.

I would hope in that scenario there would be no question of the person at fault actually not admitting they were at fault and trying to push for a 50/50 or similar, yes?!

Most (if not all) insurers will tell you to never admit liability even when it it clear cut.

If you stuff it and the police turn up they can lawfully seize the cam as (potential) evidence.

Very true, but it is not much use to them if you had 'left' the memory card at home though would it? :think:

Personally I would not encourage anyone to try to deceive the police as to what had happened, but likewise that does not include going above and beyond what is required by law to incriminate yourself.

To date (one day it will come) it is not a legal requirement to have a drive recorder and I bet there are not many if any insurance companies that will give you a reduced insurance premium?

Despite the fact that a DR will make most people drive more sensibly and possibly take away the uncertainty to where the blame lies, so potentially saving them from paying out.
