I think RockHopper on the Yeti forum has Sunset Glass, I know he runs a rear camera.

Been thinking about getting a second, non gps version to put in the rear window but at these prices I think I'll get an HD version for the front and move the non-HD to the back.

Don't suppose anyone knows if they do a Mac version of the software?

No only in windows, but you can view the video on a mac as it is .mp4, you just can't see where you were going or adjust any of the settings, or update the firmware, as they constantly update the firmware.

Love the idea of this. I have so many times when I have to dodge people and sometimes I'd rather just take them out. Do you know how long these can be left operating until the car battery dies? Thanks

The current drain is minimal. I normally have them running all the time, but after 10 minutes they go into parking mode and only record if something triggers them like motion or movement.

My car gets driven most days, so it is hard to say how long they would last, but I would expect weeks rather than hours. Unless you have a defective relay like I had repaired today. Another story.

Richard, do you know if these record all the time by default, or just the 15 seconds before and after they have been triggered by the sensor?

Do you physically have to turn them on each time (when hard wired) or do they remember their last setting?

They will do which ever you want, you chose, but by default they are on all the time, writing over the oldest stuff first.

Yes they will work though sunset glass - shot using a DR300 in the rain round a track with fast Octavia's and Fabia's trying to stay on the track (and not all succeeding)

Just to let people know, I'm going to start firing out PMs tomorrow for the £20 deposit.

Payable before 10am on the 5th January via paypal or cheque.

So you can pay this week or leave it to next week, but I'll be ordering on the 5th January so please don't leave it too late or you'll miss out.

Delivery will be 2 or 3 weeks, so they will be here for the end of January.

Obviously it'll then be payment for the balance before I post them out.

If people want to wait to pay the balance until the end of January (pay day) that's fine.

But anyone not paying the balance by the 14th February will lose their deposit.

Hope that's acceptable, I don't want to fund the units for more than a month.

How would we stand in the event of a warranty claim?

Would each purchase be from the supplier or would we be buying from you?
