Careless "self abuser"

"Mr Lairy" would have been told in no uncertain terms that

perhaps if his retarded dollop of a wife wasn't so fat that she had

orbiting moons and was indeed the size of a normal person then...

1. She'd have had room to get in the car without needing an extra 2 feet

of space for her grotesquely swollen saddlebags.

2.The exertion of getting into a car wouldn't have made her sweat

negating the need for her to remove her coat.

3. If that's his standard when it comes to choosing a mate no wonder he

drives a cra@ppy french piece of dung, clearly he cares about neither.

Then I'd have either offered to permanently open all his windows with my krooklock.

Or just kicked his door panel in while he stood and watched then telling him

I slipped and "accidents happen".

I can't stand people who behave that way, you can't reason with them so

you have to communicate on their terms.

I do wonder what is classed as an "accident" in law. If they had backed into your car and damaged it they would be obliged to leave their details and it is an offence no to do so.

Can't see why the police wouldn't be interested, it is criminal damage after all which this person has refused to pay for. I would have made sure there were witnesses and then reported it.

Happened to my old Octy.

I waited till he'd gone and keyed every panel.

I like revenge :)

Family of weebles in a Laguna? I doubt lairy bloke would give a toss about scratches as long as it runs.

Sugar in the tank is much better. He might not care what his car looks like but he won't like having to walk everywhere.

Thanks - I'll clarify that with him & let him know. So, do you recommend getting the police involved for witnessed door-ding incidents if the dinger isn't interested in paying for the damage?

to be honest if its only a small ding then Personally, I wouldn't but I would make that threat! my reply was more aimed at the Jag incident where someone had scratched the boot and then left and would cost in excess of £100 to repair (if the damage is less than £100 the police can issue a on the spot fixed penalty of £80 and you will see none of that money). you can demand the insurrance details of the person who dinged your car as if they are with the vehicle at the time and they or their passengers cause the damage your entitled to put an insurance claim in and the police will probably just ensure you swap details so you can do that as they would treat it more like a RTC than criminal damage.

One reason why i would never take rub strips off the side of my car, they are alot easier to replace than paintwork and dents are to fix,

I always park as far away as possible at supermarkets and always have

OKAY I THINK YOUR ALL GONNA HATE ME

Firstly if i go to a quiet car park and see a nice shiny well maintained car in a quiet spot i feel strangely inclined to park next to it.

I know it won't get dinged and i wanna get close up to admire there car.

Second, and probably much worse.

IF I EVER see a large 4x4 or almost any form of POINTLESS AUDI (Q3, A5, Q5, Q7, A7, ALLROAD etc etc) i do my absolute damnedest to park as close as possible to their drivers side.

Often i get so close that not only do i have to get out of the passenger door, but sometimes so close that i cannot get to the drivers lock to lock the car.

They can swing there heavy doors in anger all they like but i'm not fussed about a car park dent in my Felly which already has a few scraps and scratches.

The temptation is too great to resist.

I have even been known to park up really close(in this case a Toureag) and just walk about 10metres away and watch the fat 15st women scrabble over the passenger seats to get into her seat and **** myself with laughter

because the Felly is an old persons car and mine looks standard i think most people just assume it was parked badly by a old dear. so they tend not to get too angry

FYI, when i get a nice new Fabia vRS i will probably be able to join into this rant a bit more

Note to self: whenever I'm in Bexhill-on-sea next and I see a new Fabia vRS Estate I shall [fill this space with some evil deed]..............

Doing as you do above is fine and well if said people agrieved you in some way. Then they are fair game I say. But to do this for your own sad enjoyment to innocent people who just happen to drive something you don't like is just plain sick. Better park that new vRS very, very, VERY far from any Yeti I tell you. B) I personally can't stand the Fabia Estate's narrow, tall pinched look so who knows how this might upset me when I see one?! See how childish that sounds?!

I quite like the all road cars.

Sooner, I would be careful doing that as I don't condone criminal damage but I have met quite a few people through my job who would happily put your windscreen out if they saw you doing what you are doing.

I'm beginning to wonder how some of you actually manage to drive your cars on the road, being as you are so precious. I don't how you would cope with all the mud, sh"t, stones, branches, and general cr@p I have to drive over every day. Do you drive around every stone on the road in case it chips the paint?

In general these incidents are ACCIDENTS, nothing more than that. I'm sure no-one goes out purpose to damage the car next to them, so the Police will not be interested.

Now stand by for the flaming!!

Playing devils advocate, what make these accidents different to hitting someone car while parking? I`m sure most on the road dont go and crash into someone on purpose, but why does that mean that their carelessness is any less of a problem? They still cause damage.

My car is fairly tatty bodywork wise, but I still rather not have a wacking great scrap/dent down the door because someone cant be ****** to be more careful.

These are not accidents, just careless ignorant tossbags with no respect for anyone else's property. These are the kind of mongs that need engineering out of society.

If you have their reg plate, just put a claim in direct with their car insurance.

Sorry, but if they want to be t*ssers about it, then I'd put the claim in.

As long as it's not going through your insurance.

No, as a good look at my car will tell you :giggle:

Hmmm.. sometimes, yes. But it's very clear that soem people don't give a f**k about anyone else's property. Door dings are avoidable, stonechips aren't.

FWIW I do what many others have said: I choose wide and/or end spaces. miles from the shop. I don't use very tight car parks. I never park next to a mumsy type car, anything with child seats, or a real shed.

I had this once in my old 306. Sat in the car eating my lunch and some old woman gets out. I'm waiting for the bang which never came then I hear. "old on, i've forgot moi 'andbag". She then leans in and as she step back slams the door into mine with her arse.

I showed that I wasn't best pleased and got an abrupt "Sorry" I then step out to take in the damage and the cheeky moo shouts over to her husband "Watch he don't do nuffin to the car". Cheeky *insert expletive*

That said I think while being oblivious enough to open your doors into someone elses car is bad the stuff I have read on here regarding revenge is far worse. OK so someone opens their door into your car, you shouldn't be happy about it but to key every panel on their car.... er... WTF?!

Something I've often wondered though, could you (theoretically at least) claim on their insurance?

Seen too much of this sort of crap lately to any longer believe the bull**** that this is a community of like-minded people. While I hate it when folk have no respect for other peoples property, that sort of comment is actually worse IMHO.

I have tons of little vertical scratches on my doors where people have decided to open theirs, rest the edge of their door on my car and then get into their seat.

Obviously they're either in old bangers with busted suspension or a little on the overweight side as the length of the scratch left on my door shows exactly how much their car sags under their weight.

At least a ding I can see as accidental. But to rest your door on someone else's car isn't really something you can put down as an 'accident' - it's a blatant decision to either do it, or to not move it once it's done.

As is the comment from others here about purposely vandalising other peoples cars because this has happened.

Agreed. Other recent examples - Zafira's all driven by retards, idiot if you have winter tyres, w4anker if you have a personal plate. I wish it was warmer - the Briskoda sticker would come off easier!

What these "people" don't realise is that by making these sorts of comments they are making themselves equally as bad, if not worse, than those they thought they were "insulting".

Please feel free to report it then, as is your right.

As above, the Zafira comment was mine. A little tongue in cheek in an non serious thread.

But if it upset you then report it. You have every right to do so.

If it's removed then 'meh' whatever...

This "person" doesn't really care what you think fella,

99% of what you post takes issue with what others have said and not much

else. I'm sure the view is lovely from up there on your high horse in

"I can do no wrong land". The sainthoods in the post.

Shame we no longer have the "thanks" button, Garry you`d bet getting a whole lotta love from me.

I`m still waiting for Graham to explain why this type of accident it acceptable and we shouldnt be fussed, but if someone drives into your car that is then worth reporting? The damage can cost the same to repair if not more in some cases. . . . .

As I said and somebody else stated, you can claim off the persons insurance.

So if you have any level of proof, then go direct to their insurer and claim. The cheeky f**kers will care more when their insurance goes up due to it.

Can't be arsed fella, rather just say as I find & I'm not so dumb not to realise it was tongue in cheek. Just the wrong side of funny for me & just one of many. YMMV
