Good morning Lee

I have a question. Someone on here mentioned that with an iPhone 4 and a 2012 Yeti they can actually control the iPhone's music via the car's steering wheel and the track names appear on their Bolero screen when they play music via the Bluetooth function. My 2010 Bolero does not do that. Is there a software upgrade available for the Bolero from a dealer? Thank you.

I have just looked in to this and at the moment it does not appear that we can update the software. Whether an update would become available I could not say.

Sorry I couldn't have been more help.

Thanks Lee. That is a great shame. It means the new Boleros run a new bit of software (I can't have yet) that will give me the ability to control my music and that means I don't need to fit an aftermarket MDI kit... I'll patiently (NOT) wait for the software upgrade then! :giggle:

I'm not too sure whether it is the Bolero that has newer software or the bluetooth system.

Why not a £20 SD Card??

Retrofit MDi.... seen that done and it didn't look like fun at all.

Oh I have two big SD cards. They are fine but not the same as listening to a carefully selected current playlist directly from your iPhone... Which I can do now of course, BUT I can't see what is playing and can't skip tracks.

Ah....... so I should look out for a Bluetooth upgrade. Yes you are right. The iPhone is the first phone with Bluetooth 4. So it has to be the Bluetooth kit under the passenger seat that needs an upgrade. Doh. Of course!

Will keep you posted if I hear of any upgrades etc.
