Mk2 Octavia vRS.........mmm, looks familiar

Featured Replies

I like that a lot.

a Megane? seriously? (i used to own a megane, their great car, for people who have given up on life :giggle: )

take off the spoiler, alloys and all other VRS goodies and it is the basic shape of what you would expect from a saloon/hatchy thing so its going to look like lot of cars in the same range

If its different you want, i found this the other night

I never what an Octavia to ever be compared to pile of shhh Megane again. Never ever ever again!

I had a megane scenic before my Octavia. the scenic was the worst car i've ever owned, and the Octy is the best

ha wait untill it goes wrong!

my sister had the megane scenic, must agree, nothing going for it other then space

My Folks had a scenic, it blew up just 10 miles after I said, "its doing alright for a french car at 150K" The turbo decided it was hungry and drank all the oil in the sump. That was Xmas eve 2 years ago coming up the M6, with my Gran in the back, she ain't so stable on her feet so I had to drag her out the car as it would not stop, it was bouncing of the limiter, struggled to stall it in 5th and filled not only the car with putrid half burnt oil, but the whole of Forton services car park!

What did my folks go out and buy next, another Scenic! That's got all manor of issues with emission faults, injection faults and random other ones that appear on the dash.

Some people just don't learn do they!

Our other car is a megane and I've always liked it. It's slow but then it's only 1.6 but it has more toys as standard than the vrs and it's never let us down. It also has bigger wheels than my vrs at the moment too!

Yes, but it's French! Enough reason not to touch it with a barge pole! :giggle:

I used to own a 10year old (at the time) Clio, had it two years..most reliable car i have ever owned!

Or how about this?

???

Well I know which pair I would have, and it ain't the Mercs.

Give me the Skodas any day.

+1

the headlights are very similar though

I pass those Mercs all the time, mostly nipping past in the middle lane whilst they sit self-importantly in the outside lane at 65mph with a two mile queue behind them. Must be a certain market they satisfy.
