I doubt the information will ever have been released (unless the colour related to a specific special edition name like Silverline and Blackline). Could ask Skoda customer services and hope they are willing to provide the info.

I'm sure I've seen a yellow one around the Crosskeys area a few times.

They're less common than the other colours, I wonder if there is actually less yellow ones than there is in SE blue?

We are a funny bunch us yellows :D

I've only seen a few lemon yellows and one or two of the brighter later model yellows

I think mines sprint yellow,on a 56 plate registered early 07. . I've noticed older ones (54ish) are a slightly different shade. . .?

There were two different shades, lemon yellow then sprint yellow. Think the change was about 06 plate cars.

Sprint is a lot brighter and I think metallic whereas lemon is a flatter colour. Sprint cars also had colour coded door handles.

Mine is a few different shades now due to sun etc but it always brings a smile to my face.

Yellow ones might not be the fastest but they are the most fun :)

An enquiry with the DVLA would soon tell you how many yellow ones are about

Skoda did change the yellow in 2006 and during the "06" plate period - from one of the catalogues for that year:

Lemon Yellow is being replaced by Sprint Yellow from week 22 (29th May 2006)

One could postulate this was because of fading problems with the earlier colour? Sprint Yellow is also not metallic.

You could also get the Sport in Yellow.

I suspect the change didn't occur exactly at the time the colour coded door handles were introduced - Skoda seem to phase in changes at any time convenient to themselves...

Colour coded handles were introduced with the colour change! And all would be 07MY cars

Would a car made in May be late enough to be considered 07MY?

Pretty sure I'm the only one in central London. Blessing and a curse!

Lots of attention but then I get text messages starting "Oi, I though you were at home sick. I've just seen your car go by..." :p

Pretty sure the DVLA will be able to tell you.

I know there were 300 red Polo GTis (3+ times rather than an SE!) around still, so I'd be amazed if they couldn't tell you for other cars.

I see a fair few about, certainly more than the SEs. I think I remember reading somewhere that there was less of one type of yellow (probably the newer shade) than SEs

After a lot of searching I've found this:

Body coloured door handles - Standard on Model Year 07 vehicles (build week 22 - 29th May 2006)

... although the Sport had them prior to that date (noted certainly in a 2/2/06 downloaded catalogue though I don't have earlier ones covering the Sport)

So you're correct...

Theres 4 my way including mine

I've got a Lemon Yellow one. I've only seen one other yellow vRS around by me. (Though there are a few yellow non-vRS Fabias around here.)

I asked the same question in my local Skoda dealer while I was waiting for something to be done. I think the guy said that branch only sold 4(?) Sprint Yellow vRS's when they were new.

I'm still not sure I love the colour. I think it looks nice on a sunny day when polished up and it looks good at night under street lights But when it's raining and brown everywhere it annoys me a bit.

Also the plastic parts (on mine at least) are fading a lot quicker than the metal parts.

And mine ;)

I have a lemon yellow one! There used to be one lived near me but not seen it for aaaaages

I saw another yellow one on the M42 a couple of years back and as I went past it, both sets of passengers madly waved at each other - which was fun.

Otherwise I've only ever seen 2 other yellow VRSs. It is clearly the most exclusive colour - probably because not many people would be prepared to drive a yellow car

I do get quite a lot of comments on the fact it's yellow, but I love it. Wanted a yellow car for years, very nearly bought an MG ZR several years back but had a lucky escape as I never did before Rover/MG went bust and they all started breaking. Wanted an ovni yellow Leon but couldn't find one for love nor money at the time and then my Fabia popped up for sale and I finally got one :D

Only problem now is that I didn't realise there were two yellows due to not researching it properly, and since buying it I found out I had the pale yellow....so now I'm gutted that I don't have the bright yellow :)
