Hello everyone.

My first post for a very long time. Now on my second Superb and I have had no problems to speak of.

No the problem. Started my Superb in car park at he office. Then heard massive cracking sound!!!

Got out looked around and noted a bog gap between hear-side headlight unit and wing. Opened bonnet

to see the top mounting bracket for headlamp had snapped away. All head lamp functions still working

[the adaptive thing still does its' stuff].

Straight to the dealer. Closer inspection and I am told all the headlamp mounting brackets have snapped

and a new headlamp unit is required.[Min £350.00]!!!

On asking the cause of this failure I am told it MUST be as a result of accident damage. Well I ask show me the damage?

No signs of any damage anywhere! Except a small stone chip low down on near-side valance. Surely major damage would need

to have been caused to sheer/snap all headlamp mountings.

Has any one else suffered similiar failure.

Thoughts please.

Thank you

Neil

Not seen this before, but lots of people who have had problems with dealers, go to Skoda UK, and they will normally sort the problem. So you could give that ago if the dealer isn't willing to be helpful
